lisp which makes me change the ch immediately!!raccoonradio said:NECN has an arrangement with 96.9, maybe some kind of exclusivity there but hey, interesting.
Not sure if comedy is making CC money (cons talk 1.4, comedy 0.6) but since they chopped off
salary there they prob aren't losing money.
Some stations may be running comedy just for now...Cumulus' "Funny 102.5" in KC is about to switch to CBS Sports...which is doing radio in partnership with Cumulus. (Fox Sports is dist by CC,
NBC Sports is in assoc w Dial Global etc).
>>96.9 needs a live and local morning show talking about local issues
Eagan and Braude, but they had NECN on for Graham yesterday. I think the contracts for
Jim, Margery, and Michael all expire in 2013 and that could be an indication of changes
ahead. It could stay talk, or GM may opt for news/NECN simulcast or music (more likely).

I'm white (Jewish actually..), and most of what I listen to are black artists (Motown, Philly Soul, Disco, etc). A updated Jammin Oldies format could work if it was mass appeal enough and played the crossover hits from '65-'89. Songs that are not heard on WROR or WMXJ (let's face it - WROR may do Motown Mondays, but is still white as a Klan rally most hours)
Something akin to http://www.jamminoldiesradio.com would be a big hit in Boston, especially with women.

No, I remember Loren and Wally mentioning Motown Mondays yesterday (Monday) morning so it's still going on. Now whether Motown Monday extends throughout the day or just on their show, I have no idea. I would think all day. There is nothing mentioned about it on WROR.com that I can find.
