How does this show continue to stay on the air? I'll grant you, I don't find too many local morning shows in Ct. tolerable but this one has to be the worst. I scan most mornings, but when I hit 98Q, like a 20 car pile up on I-84 , I can't turn away. It's freaking horrible. Rachel Foxx has no business doing mornings. She was barely listenable during middays. Not everybody is cut out for mornings, and she DEFINITELY isn't. When she first came on board after Danielle Lane exited stage left, she sounded nervous and excited like you would expect. Its' been how long now? 6,7,8 months? Is it possible she's worse now? As pd, Bill Trotta has got to work with this girl. She mumbles, bumbles and stumples through every celebrity report she does. It's obvious she's just "ripping and reading". Can she at least read through it ahead of time so she can deliver it more smoothly? Like she's not just reading it for the first time. Also, she never seems to know where she wants to go with a particular story, or while she's engaged in conversation with Trotta. And she definitley doesn't know how to wrap a story or segment up. It's painful listening to her hem and haw while trying to come up with a witty outro. (which never come) TIME TO SHOW PREP PEOPLE. Combine that with the forced, blatantly fake laughter ( A Bill Trotta staple ) and there's no way she belongs in mornings. Trotta should pull himself off the air as well. He's too old for the format. I don't think he's relevant anymore. He too suffers from the fake, forced laughter and "fathers humor" . (The stuff you'd hear your dad say when he thinks he's being funny, but he's not). For those of you who are going to tell me to just change the station. You're absolutely right. And I do, but not until after I listen to this abortion of a morning show and ask "why is this on the air?". I know the station has got numbers, but it can't be on the strength of the morning show. Just to show that I'm not anti 98q, Scotty in the afternoon is a hell of a jock. Well prepared, good phoners, get's in and out quickly and concisely. He shoulg be moving on to a larger market very soon. And that's all I've got to say about that.
