yea I was hearing that over the weekend also. I haven't seen it since sunday night. i work over in muncie and i didn't hear it over there at all. so it was somewhere in anderson.
That places the 40 dB contour (fringe) across the middle of Anderson - the translator would have better signal to the East. That doesn't match the listener report of a 10 mile circle with the strongest point being the north side of Anderson.Flying-Dutchman said:That map is of the 1 mv/m contour. Here's the Anderson radio dial from radio-locator.com.

Very close...look for WKMV to be far enough from Muncie (to keep it out of the population center) that interference to channel 6 is a non-issue and the 102.9 translator will then provide a stronger signal in Muncie. WGNR is being broadcast with permission to hold the license until WKMV is built...a date that I don't have any estimate on.justalurker said:WGNR probably doesn't 'need' a Muncie translator. EMF (K-Love) does. They are the folks that own that Muncie translator. They probably don't 'need' it right now either ... but they want it for the future. When WKMV gets on the air I suspect we will see the Muncie translator move to a location where it will help boost their coverage. Look at the bigger picture.

So you could say they don't need this signal. I think you are right, Ten Four. But, this doen't
justify jamming them!
