Any thoughts to the idea that CBS may be looking to launch an Alternative with Kevin and Bean for mornings?
I've been thinking that Entercom maybe some weeks ago had reached out to K&B about mornings, and for some reason they declined. Why would a new monrning show looking for stations do that? Sure seemed a perfect match for what they do.
My thought is that CBS has been watching KWOD for sometime, and now with them out of the format and a strong llive west coast morning show, all they'd need to do is bring in a former KWOD personality or two and a strong current alternative playlist. And the good thing would be they wouldn't have to worry about format overlap with any clustermate.
West coast alternatives are finding new success, but it seems the only possible station CBS could flip would be Zone. But could/would CBS actually concede HOT AC to Clear Channel? Maybe somehow make Mix stronger than it is already?
