Any ideas for My Network TV?

My Network TV could give the recent new Peanuts special an encore presentation.

Also, given how good syndicated repeats of 'Law & Order' are doing (#13 as of 11/13/2011), surely I'm not the only one who thinks My Network TV could bring the show back to production...am I?

No, you're the only one. The cost of new Law & Order episodes would ruin My Network TV's financial model.

My Network TV is doing exactly what it was meant to do: fill a 2 hour hole in prime time on the non-Fox affiliated stations that Fox owns. It's also filling a programming hole on former WB and UPN affiliates that didn't sign up with CW. The ratings for the service are not available, but it seems like they must be doing okay with what they've got. There's no point in trying to change their model by paying a mint for high quality new programming like Law & Order. Bottom line: it ain't gonna happen.

Ideas for MY Network TV that are sure to work:

1) An hour-long program showing various AM transmitting tower sites with their lights blinking against a night background with audio of each featured station running simultaneously. Just imagine a night shot of Buena Park and I-5 as KFI Los Angeles emits, or Hamilton, Ohio and Cincinnati's WLW. People would be mesmerized and transfixed.

2) A half-hour program featuring different coffee makers brewing their magic in various office buildings nationwide. A natural for a coffee sponsor.

3) Classic news footage of Roseanne and Tom Arnold in their happily-married days making durn fools of themselves. So much footage of that exists that it would seem like there would never be a re-run.

4) Night Out in Cleveland would feature the sights, sounds, vibes, atmosphere, and smells of "The Best Location in the Nation."

5) Master Lampoon Theatre, A show featuring Chevy Chase sitting fireside in a nice big leather chair, one leg crossed over the other, perhaps in his robe or smoking jacket, fez hat, reading word-for-word out of classic old issues of The National Lampoon. A sure winner.

6) Adapted-for-television versions of the movie classics The Most Dangerous Man Alive (1961), and Invaders From Mars (1953). Demi Moore would be a natural in the Debra Paget role in the former, and in the latter, it would be a good excuse to cast Harland Williams in something again.

7) High Heels of Beverly Hills, Low-angle shots of women in heels walking on Rodeo Drive, nothing above the ankles. Accentuating the show would be the clicking sounds of heels as they walk.

Eight) Chef Milani's 1890 French Salad Dressing, a cooking show exclusively featuring recipes that all use Chef Milani's 1890 French Salad Dressing. Salads, main courses, lunch, dinners, breakfasts, even burritos. Yum.

9) A nature show, going across the country featuring crows on telephone poles, wires, and fences. A potential title could be Caw of the Wild. OK, it hurt to even think of it, let alone write it.

10) A sports show featuring athletic competition among small college teams. Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Track & Field, etc. with a twist: The losing teams get drafted into the military! The action is sure to be furious.

Is MY Network TV crying for ideas? Well then, they can now stop crying! :)

They may also send my consultant fee forthwith. ;)

Some of those ideas are good, but I have some better ones:

1. NBA telecasts on Saturday nights (and possibly the related D-league as well), which are usually nothing but reruns

2. Bringing back 'UFC Wired' in light of the new Fox-UFC deal

3. Bringing back previous shows like 'Celebrity Expose', 'Decision House', and that one with magical secrets being revealed

4. Making a deal with some production company and creating an EI block like 'Litton's Weekend Adventure'

Are there any original FX series that the censors will allow FOX to air on MyNetwork in prime-time? I know Archer wouldn't go and IASIP is definitely a no-no.

If these shows are running on FX why not re-air them on OTA in HD. :)

Monday's-MO Valley Conference Games and when CB is not playing Movies.
Tuesday's- Till Death and other Comedies that Fox has cancelled.
Wednesdays- Game Shows
Thursday's- Hospital's Shows
Friday's- Family Movies
Saturday's and Sunday's Sports

Well, apparently, 'Burn Notice' will be in syndicated repeats this fall, so that would free up a time slot. Here's an idea: Maybe Jeremy Kyle or Wendy Williams (or maybe both) could have MyNet air special versions of their respective talk shows since 20th Television distributes both of them...

Hosted by the one and only Scott Fybush...It would be a great supplement to his Tower Site of the Week.
