Hatthorn's not part of the act, and he's splitting time between AM and FM for part of his shift. BTW, rumor is Colony could be bumped out of the morning show.

Callers can be very good radio, but they have to be ruthlessly screened to keep the boring, senile, and idiotic off the air. Once they get on, anyone with a lick of intelligence hits the button, and then the only people left in the audience are the boring, senile, and idiotic, which produces more callers of the same caliber.
When I say "ruthless" I mean absolutely ruthless. It is difficult to find call screeners to work for minimum wage when they're more busy with their cell phones and trying to figure out how to get a job in TV, but it can be done. You just have to be ruthless in your hiring and monitoring, too.
