But really, I don't think you can play both sides of that equation on a station like the X. For whatever gains you'd make in females, you'd drive away some of your core male numbers and not gain anything. And trying to make anyone work with Madden would just be a dumpster fire.
If there was an FM signal out there that was really tanking right now, sub 2-share, I'd say a new rock station would be the ticket, it would force the X to pick a direction. But you only have 5 owners in the market..... CC's not going to compete with itself; at CBS, Star quietly bills well and as far as theB is concerned, CHR is a priority nationally; Renda only has WSHH; Steel city is fine with the Bob/Q combo; and the Frogs are inadequate facilities to be full-market standalones. The only overlap I question with them is 103.5 and 104.3, but neither reaches far enough east. So who would change?.... (DON'T say Star.... the 12+ numbers are not the story)
