Bauerle's Mood Swings

Listen...the new Sabres ownership may not care about what GR says...but the same Bills ownership will...does anyone remember Chuck Dickerson?
Agree. Which is why there's a good chance the Bills will be on 930 and 107.7 rather than 550. Dickerson poisoned the well. There may be new faces at One Bills Drive, but the people who have been there over the years haven't forgotten. Plus, WBEN desperately needs to bring some younger listeners to rediscover 930, the station their parents or grandparents listen to.

Brad Riter did a nice job filling in for Bauerle. Here's an idea... how about Brad taking over Kathy Weppner's 12-2 pm shift on Saturdays on WBEN and maybe doing some type of off-site promotional work for WBEN, kind of like what Sal Cappacio does now for WGR on Sabres game days at the pregame tent parties?

Just a thought. If he's considered valuable as a fill-in, maybe give him a weekly outlet and some other chances during the week to do remotes from car dealerships, grocery stores, summer festivals, etc.

How about dead air taking over for Kathy on Saturdays?
WBEN management hasn't figured out that their conservabot listeners will still listen even if a reasonable person is on the air. They have nowhere else to turn in town to listen.

Not sure how WBEN would ever work in such a thing. Seems that if there are any remotes to be done, it'll be B&B for $$$. And what's with the resurrection of Larry Hunter? He was on again yesterday. Is he on again this whole week too? Good Lord I hope not. There's enough talent around that that guy should never see another live mic in front of his face. He's awful. I don't quite get the decision-making over at the big 930. The 80+ crowd probably doesn't mind him, but then again, the P1's in talkradio are having managers slowly steering this format into the abyss, as there is little to no regard for not only younger, but just reasonable people in general. The Larry Hunters and Kathy from Williamsville's are exactly what's killing the future of the format.
