I wanted to really give them a good listen before I posted anything about them....so here goes....
I am dumb founded that this "show", and I use that term very loosely, is even on the air. Its just ....bad. Sorry, I understand what it takes to do a live show, and this just is not even close to being good. I know they really needed to do something to fill that time slot, but this is just a piss poor excuse for entertainment.
Luckly they will not last very long, with the only exception to that being if CBS won't put down any decent money to hire real talent for that slot, if thats the case, well then good luck.
I never thought I would say this, but they make Richard Hunter sound really good.

Why don't they get a few cackling monkey boys in there to laugh at everything? That way, people will actually think it's funny because they hear laughter!

Actually, I think they've gotten a lot better since they started... That's just my OPINION though.
They still may make it, but they need to quit trying so hard to be "street". I was listening to them on the way home form the airport on Tuesday and they were talking about bad toupees. I swear, they must have said "rockin" instead of wearing twenty times in a ten minute bit. It drove me up the freakin wall!ButtnPushr said:

The only difference in ISaidSo's complaints is that he jumped right out of the barrel and proclaimed that they suck on their first day on the air, which is ignorant in my opinion. Everyone sucks on their first day on the air on a new station with a different format, especially when you haven't been doing a show regularly prior to that first day.
They seem to have good ideas, but no direction for delivery. They also seem to carry the jokes and bits on WAAAAY too long. And the over-produced intros to the bits are ridiculous. Oh, and stop with the character voices. Please. They make you sound like a small market morning zoo. I do like the pranks on the other employees though. They may be old, but they are still funny for the most part.
Anyway... wait till the next book comes out. We'll see.

Exactly JFPO, I waited to see if it might get better, and.....TaaaDaaaa, it hasn't, in fact I think it is worse....For the record 5515, I didn't like the show at 1310, and thought that hiring them for a 4 hr show, 5 days a week was a mistake, and as I have tried it over the last month, I think I was right, and put it out here...
It is one thing to be nervous and take a few shows to get your legs, but it is quite another to be doing bad college radio bits, and over laughing at all your own jokes, and learning on the fly... Not to mention that there are MANY threads on here that agree that KLLI is really bad. That is Just My OPINION

I think the show is just generic blah....I tuned in a couple of days ago after several weeks of not listening and noticed what seemed like a better effort forward promoting and other radio gimmicks. I think the guys are preparing and definitely care about the show but, and this might be impossible to overcome, I just don't find it very compelling. I also think they are already being held hostage by frequent callers. Not good. I get the sense that there's probably never more then 1 or 2 on hold at any time and when you let the radio whores and nutjobs that will call the station everyday get on the air and kill 5 minutes of a segment, that's the beginning of the end. You have to have control over your show.

These guys are really bad. Liked them a little bit on the ticket in very small doses. Now that they are full time it is unbareable to listen to them. I, like a lot of folks listen for the "train wreck" factor. Can't stand anything KLLI has to offer, but again I am a glutten for punishment and find myself listening in for 5-10 minutes a day thinking...how in the world can these people actually be on the radio?
