Yeah, before XM even knew how they were going to deliver the channels. So again, an empty argument.

You know, and I know, that XM would sound great with fewer channels. They simply won't do it. They'll keep adding channels until the audio quality gets to be unlistenable. Even the XM fans will tell you that audio quality has gone south over the years. Of course to save face, they'll blame the NAB or the FCC. Why not - It obviously worked on you.

It's all XM's fault, but go ahead and believe what you want, whether or not it's based in reality. They were given "x" amount of bandwidth. How they divide it is completely up to them, not the FCC or NAB.
______________

You bought XM, didn't you? That's one of the selling points of HD...more channels, better audio quality, better choices. But instead of paying for a subscription on top of the radio, they need to only buy the radio, which I will say again, WILL GET CHEAPER!
______________

Radio shows hatred towards satellite??? HELLO???? Umm, let me introduce you to COMPETITION. You may have heard of it. Do ads stating that you "shouldnt have to pay for radio" hurt your feelings? Good grief, grow some skin!

So your music isnt on broadcast. So what. Why do you need to show so much hostility (your words) towards broadcast? Just find another route and be done with it. The rest of us will enjoy our broadcast radio. Occasionally I go somewhere else for some of my music.

If you dont like broadcast, why are you a apart of a broadcast discussion to other than be a troll?

There has been so much mis-information about HD. I suggest that you go out and do the testing yourself so you know. To try and become an expert on HD Radio with you having even heard HD kind of makes your points...well... pointless.

HD Radio is not perfect. But then again, what is?

i am not a troll. i use to be in radio. i just simply dont like the direction it has taken. i am signing off from this discussion. now back to live 365 :)
good luck. maybe the price will come down. if it does i will try it.
