Although Gray doesn't own stations in Miami & Boston.

Nor does Nextar in Boston. WLVI is owned by Sunbeam. So what do Nexstar, Gray and WLVI have to do with each other?

There's no indication that the FCC or Congress are in any hurry to lift the 39% national ownership cap.

Any "what if" discussion that doesn't take that cap into account is a waste of time otherwise.

(Or the reality that the networks aren't acquiring new O&Os, etc.)

KTVU is a Fox O&O it cannot be in the CW Deal.

KRON is part of this deal to get the CW because of Nexstar.

Also we need to see where CW is going in Sacramento given that KMAX is losing the CW affiliation because of Paramount decision not to renew that affiliation.

We have a new logo for KMAX TV Sacramento. Yes KMAX will follow the setup of KPIX and KCAL-TV's logo. It's basically that KMAX will be an extension of KOVR CBS Sacramento.

Here it is up close and it's of course modeled directly after KPIX and KCAL's logos.

Gray Television the owners of WANF-TV and WPCH-TV Atlanta renews CBS Affiliation in several cities like Phoenix, Honolulu, Cleveland, Atlanta, Kansas City. This eliminates the chances of WUPA being converted into a CBS affiliate in Atlanta.

It's a case of Paramount in cities like Atlanta, Seattle and Tampa having to find a strategy on how to market these stations since the CBS affiliation went to another party in these cities.

Nexstar does have 39 percent of Food Network, can it swap it for WBDs 12.5 percent of CW?

Why on God's green earth would they do something like that?? For CW? Food Network is much more valuable as an asset than CW.

Here is the document showing Paramount requesting a call letter change for KBCW. Not shocking given that they had to comply with Nexstar getting full control of the CW and the affiliation moving to KRON4 soon. KPYX we knew it had to be an extension of KPIX the main Paramount station in the Bay Area.

With Standard General acquiring KING/KONG Seattle, the best bet is for CBS to acquire KIRO from Cox/Apollo and pair it up with KSTW.

They can't because both are on virtual VHF channels in A LARGE market & KSTW is HARDLY a failing channel. It would NEVER pass the FCC mustard

Nexstar could buy KSTW though as this would make it a CW O&O (The second such station in town with KCPQ 13 being the other with Fox)

If WADL and WKBD and WMYD are all independent, then there will be NO CW or MyNetworkTV affiliation there.

Well there is also a KQED+ which is really former PBS Affiliate KTEH and currently known as PBS affiliate KQEH-TV San Jose. In KQEH case KQED+ implies that its co-owned with KQED-TV San Francisco and is mainly used as an id for cable and OTA viewers in the San Francisco area.

Well, if the FCC denies the selling of WADL by Adell Broadcasting to Mission Broadcasting, then I assume that WMYD could become Detroit's new CW affiliate, and could adopt the WCWD call letters.

Well if Scripps really agree to this deal. Also Nexstar has a similar proposed deal where they buy KUSI-TV and make it a CW affiliate forming a duopoly Fox Affiliate with KSWB-TV San Diego.
