CBS owned CW affiliates to drop CW affiliation and go independent

No, that’s not how these things work. Fox doesn’t need WADL and they won’t even entertain the thought. End of story.

If you think any respectable broadcaster would want to do business with Kevin Adell after this infantile behavior he’s been pulling, think again.
more and more independent stations got sold to groups anyways. The internet changes the rules all the time & it's only a matter of time until smaller groups like Hearst, Sunbeam, Griffin, Capitol, News-Press Gazette, Morris, etc. got bought up by larger groups.

And that has absolutely nothing to do with WADL at the present moment. Kevin Adell had his one chance to sell the station and not only completely blew it, but made it thoroughly unsalable.

It ain’t happening.

thats my prediction

A random person's post from a radiodiscussion forum is not a reliable source. Prediction or not, this is not going to happen. If your prediction is right, then Fox would've already bought stations in unnecessary markets to make MNTV O&Os or somehow moving MNTV to another station. I have proof of you saying this on another board from last year.

Maybe KUSI should bought out by Fox and Tegna might launch a MNTV subchannel on 8.2, that's my better scenario. Of course Fox might look into buying Circle City Broadcasting even if the Colts is an AFC market. Finally KMAX, WUPA, WTOG, and WPSG should make duopolies and sold to Fox and become MNTV O&Os except in Sacramento to give Fox all 4 major California markets since SAC and SD are secondary markets to the 49ners and Rams(mostly)/Chargers(partially). WBNX should join MNTV too instead of sharing with METV either duopoly with Tegna for WKYC or Nexstar with WJW in the even if Gray keeps WUAB with The CW
or Fox walks back to WCCB and sell WMYT to Gray creating a duopoly with WBTV providing even more news competition in Charlotte

But did anything you said above happen? No! Neither did anyone's predictions of all Nexstar stations dropping a big four network for The CW. That didn't happen either.

Making predictions is one thing. If you would've said "I'm guessing WADL should be bought by Fox" in a way you said on the quote above, that's a better way of saying a prediction rather than saying...

If Nexstar dosent want WADL, Fox does next

See my point?

The irony of that statement that the CW insists that primetime be carried in pattern is that Nexstar-owned CW station KDAF/33 in Dallas/Fort Worth (Nexstar's home market) routinely delays CW primetime programming for high school sports coverage.
I think what they mean by "In pattern" is either 7-9 or 8-10 REGARDLESS of Time Zone

Prime example - KWGN 2 (CW O&O by default) runs primetime from 8-10 PM as they have a 7:00 PM newscast (Unless this has changed??)

So? Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Austin, and Milwaukee do not have Fox O&O duopolies. What's your point? Again, why would Fox get involved into anything else in Detroit?

The whole point in the cease and desist is to prevent The CW from airing on WMYD and back to WADL because of the (struggling) Nexstar sale from Adell (which may not happen at this point), not to convert WADL into a MNTV O&O.
Two problems with your thinking

1). Fox could always sign an AFFILIATION AGREEMENT with WADL to make it the new home of MyNetwork TV with the added incentive of news produced by WJBK 2

2). Adell is SNOOZIN' on the job & now he's in danger of LOOZIN' because he acted like A PETUALANT TODDLER by insisting that Nexstar PAY WADL in exchange for an affiliation, Upon Nexstar's refusal, HE DROPPED THE NETWORK !! What don't you understand about this??

Given this, WHY would Nexstar be EVEN REMOTELY in DOING BUISINESS with Adell when they have A PROVEN SUCCESSFUL TRACK RECORD (Not to mention GOOD BUSINESS RELATIONS) with Scripps (Who only helped facilitate their merger with Tribune by buying SEVERAL stations from them. Nothing big)

And Scripps having The CW under its belt only completes the network affiliation cycle as they have affiliations with all the others

Well since MyNetwork TV is more of a syndicated service than a traditional network like the The CW is, Adell can agree to pick it up or not

That's what KRON 4 in San Francisco did before they because a full-fledged affiliate. Now KICU 26 is a MNTV O&O & KRON 4 is a CW O&O

Unless the Murdochs make a bid so they can have it's own duopoly like in NYC, LA, Chicago, Phoenix, SF, Orlando, DC, DFW, and Houston. Paramount should've sell their former CWs that are not part of a duopoly with their CBS counteparts.

KICU is still an independent. After adding the CW, KRON has exiled the slop from MyTV to the overnight hours, which is just as well.
