Krok? Boy, that name lends for some fun-making, as in Krok-of-s***.
So will KLIF change calls to KROK?
The guy (see link) looks like a 20-yr old board op. He might try wearing a suit for the next photo shoot. Sure would go a long way in establishing some credibility, unless his only focus is to try to convert GenXers into neo-cons.
You can tell he wrote his own bio..."That’s when KSTP/Minneapolis called, only to be followed by WSB/Atlanta stealing him away." And now he's "thrilled" to be in Macon, GA? Umm, that's a step backwards, I would think. Will the website soon read, "until Dallas stole him away." Penny larceny, considering the station, if you ask me. (Then again, will he be syndicated to Dallas from Macon? Sure would fit with the Dickey-ing around that's happening at Cumulus. Fire Wells, pocket the cash.)
Bio also mentions, "'Talkers Magazine' named him as one of the 250 most important Talk Show Hosts in 2007." Umm, I don't think there's even 250 talk show hosts out there.
"And Krok has just been listed as one of "Macon's Most Influential People" in a poll of 75 "movers and shakers" by Macon Magazine." Umm...are there even 75 movers and shakers living in Macon?
The bio mentions that he's done fill-in in Dallas. That's probably where Theodore has heard him before.
And this resume trumps Wells'?
All of this is not even for me to say. I don't listen to 570 and likely never will. This is obviously another conservative talk show host whose sole purpose is to tell you what to think. Yawn.

Notice what demo Gen-xers are? 25-44. What demo are the baby boomers? 45+. Might be helpful if you were trying to draw in gen x-ers to have a Gen- Xer insted of some 50 year old hosting your talk show. Perhaps there's a valid reason to have someone younger hosting the show...The guy (see link) looks like a 20-yr old board op. He might try wearing a suit for the next photo shoot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't KPLX in the top 3 persons 25-54 and the Ticket #1 (by a mile) in men 25-54? If the most money is to be made in 25-54, they've got 2 of the most dominant stations in town.Sure would fit with the Dickey-ing around that's happening at Cumulus.
I can probably name 15-20 talk shows in this market. Multiply that out over multiple major markets, hundreds of small markets, and there are thousands of talk shows out there...Bio also mentions, "'Talkers Magazine' named him as one of the 250 most important Talk Show Hosts in 2007." Umm, I don't think there's even 250 talk show hosts out there.
Are there 75 movers and shakers in midland -Odessa or amarillo??? Macon is bigger than both of those cities..."And Krok has just been listed as one of "Macon's Most Influential People" in a poll of 75 "movers and shakers" by Macon Magazine." Umm...are there even 75 movers and shakers living in Macon?
Maybe not. But the thing you don't seem to understand (which probably has a lot to do with while you're not really employed in the radio industry anymore) is that it's not about a resume, it's about the ability to draw ratings and create revenue. KLIF is languishing in 29th (6+).And this resume trumps Wells'?
Again, his purpose isn't to tell people what to think, his purpose is to draw ratings and create revenue. If telling people what to think does that, great. More power to him.All of this is not even for me to say. I don't listen to 570 and likely never will. This is obviously another conservative talk show host whose sole purpose is to tell you what to think. Yawn.

Sometimes successful. On the Georgia board no one has commented on his move. What does that say?
