Hogwash?
Here are the Stones tracks I currently have in my database. Not their entire catalog, of course, but these in my OWN research (not music testing) seem to have appeal. And, some of these titles are very borderline.

I am also a big fan of promo edit and mixes. A couple are clean 45 dubs (Brown Sugar/Bitch) and the rest are recreated or available for online purchase.
Three played since midnight on WDRC-FM Hartford, all on eriedj's list: "Gimme Shelter," "Sympathy For The Devil" and "Beast of Burden." I'm not sure they're playing "Satisfaction." Like "Get Off My Cloud," it seems to have an "oldies" reputation rather than a "classic rock" one.
I'm a hardcore classic rock fan, and I also love current stuff. Most of the "current stuff" I love is current classic rock. It's just that I cannot hear it on the radio, which is bothersome because radio used to be a great medium for learning of the existence of new, current classic rock. Now, I have to find it through alternative means.
This is a relatively new classic rock song that I doubt I'd ever hear on the radio. This is from the metal/prog-rock sub-genre of classic rock.
I scream every time I see you post.
I notice that Avid has chosen to ignore this request.
I would expand on this to say
TRUTH for AVID: what I say, and it needs no proof or positive results.
BOGUS: What everybody else says, even if there are documented ratings results, local direct sales results and other indications of audience size and satisfaction.
Grace Potter is a REGULAR visitor to most AAA Adult Aklternative playlists. What part of the country are you in? (not that it matters with Internet streams available)
I think it's interesting how many of those mid-60s Rolling Stones hits were recorded at RCA Studios on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, and not in London. Except for "As Tears Go By," recorded with strings in London. Very British sounding recording.
They were signed to Decca Records at the time, and from what I can see, Decca had relationship with RCA starting in 1957. So that may explain why they'd use RCA Studios. Not why they recorded in Hollywood as opposed to any other location.
I only pointed out that no one else has presented any links or fact AFTER TheBigA accused me of doing it. But then, the truth or fact clearly don't mean anything to you.
I read somewhere that they chose to record in Hollywood because the studio technology was better at the time, and it was cheaper for them to record there for some reason.
And you have yet to respond, Avid. Is this to say you have nothing to support what you say?

I do not know the precise details of how to properly test a collection of songs to determine the best ones to play on the air, but I can recognize when the people who should have that knowledge do a piss-poor job of it.
