Paul Marshall was a BORE in this city. He got booted out the door.
He sucked. He was horrible. He worked at four Boston stations. Began his career in a top ten market. But, just couldn't hack it. He only cashed those paychecks out of fear of continued failure. He especially hated cashing the occasional bonus check. He also was smart enough to turn down a job offer from the alleged music journalist in 1991, after checking references on the person who
hired him. Yes scribe,
you thought I was so horrible 15 years ago, after hearing my demo, looking at my resume', and checking my references
you gave me a gig. You then popped a testicular nodule when I had the audacity to decline your offer. I'm sure with that vivid memory, you can pull these little details out of that dome of yours. While you were trying to set up a national network out of a tiny little station in (if memory recalls Marlborough), I was producing morning drivetime at WZLX.
You then called my home in Winchester on the night I was to start, knowing that I'd already passed on the gig a week earlier. You said I'd "never work in this business." I don't believe I've ever pulled this nugget out on this board before, but it's time people hear why you are so angry toward me. While I've left that part of my early career in the waste basket, you continue to type bitter, slanderous "facts", and all-out lies with regard to my career like a jilted prom date. You have no problem dredging up old experiences. So, chew on that one. Come to think of it, I never properly thanked my former co-worker for the reference. Thanks for the memories. And thanks for continuing to obsess over a former Boston air personality who never made any impact. Your continued focus upon my career is right in line with the other obscure topics you continue to mine in this forum. If your words are to be believed, I should be honored. This is better than any award I could ever receive. Because hopefully, after your vitriolic posts are proven to be continuously inaccurate, uninformed, and fantastically incorrect, it entertains the readers of this forum. And that appears to be your true motive. You want people to read your debates with others' in hopes that they will somehow come around and think you're talented. We're all still hoping scribe. Keep tapping away. Someday, perhaps you'll get your facts straight.
Way to go CARRIE!!! Sorry this post wasn't about you and your hard-earned, well-deserved, and industry-wide award.
