CUMULUS GOES COUNTRY WITH 99X

Consider... an 'in your face' country format, with a cheap loudmouth in the morning drive who relates to men. Either of the RGs could do it... Rude could surely do it... Moby could also. Who's the cheapest? Remember, Alternative as a format is losing audience nationally... these people don't look like they're going to push a local station for identity, they're much more likely to try to jump on a successful bandwagon. Kieth Connors would do a hell of a job in mornings where the music was the message, and the message was a LOT of hank Jr. and Willie and the like. They're paying for nohing right now.. perhaps they'll cut the payroll and go for a newe 'something'.

These are laughable, especially the Moby posts. Moby was over, poor ratings, not relatable to the audience in this millineum. Do you beleive Kicks would rid themselves of someone actually pulling the train? Get real. Plenty of dough there for the right player.
Bandy and Bailey were smalltown, never made the grade in Atlanta. Easy to cut bait on them, and not for money, for lack of a future. Even if syndicatable, it will be to small markets. Cumulus just hired a morning for Nashville, if BB were so good, why didnt they land THAT gig.

I cannot believe that this rumor is still alive... ??? these rumors died months ago and now have resurfaced.

Bandy and Baily were regularly top 5 25-54 while they were on Kicks. They are now Cumulus employees and the Dickeys plan on using them on multiple properties. Right now they are on the Cumulus country station in Lexington. Lew promised they would be on more stations by this summer. I don't know what other country properties Cumulus currently owns, but the Wolf in Dallas was part of their Susq. purchase.

Someone should try "The Georgia Redneck - Redneck (*)**.* and have personalities that wouldn't sound out-of-place on Blue Collar TV. Keep the music upbeat and fast too. NASCAR, if they can take it from Eagle, would be a plus. ;) I'm very serious. It would be so different from the usual corporate radio country formatted properties out there and different is what it takes to go for the top spot in the car dealer demo (25-54). Something like that would have non-country listeners tuning-in. It would be highly personality driven though. You would have to find all or most of the personalities first.

Oh, Kinda like Y106 in the late 80's (before the 104.1 simulcast)
