I thought he already did the show from home, or a private facility of sorts. There was one national radio host who did his show from his hospital bed. 1970s or 80s.

THAT'S the one! Man, I miss that guy.Wasn't that Bruce Williams on Talknet? He was a pilot and crashed an airplane. He was pretty banged up and broadcast from his hospital bed for a tme
I don't know if this is who you are trying to recall, but in 1984, KFRC's (San Francisco) morning drive jock, Dr. Don Rose (Donald Rosenburg), had to have the lower part of one leg amputated*. KFRC built a makeshift radio studio in his hospital room, and later moved it to his home, where Rose broadcast his daily show from for about six months until he was healthy enough to return to the station....There was one national radio host who did his show from his hospital bed. 1970s or 80s.
Not many know this...but he was also not a real doctor!I don't know if this is who you are trying to recall, but in 1984, KFRC's (San Francisco) morning drive jock, Dr. Don Rose (Donald Rosenburg), had to have the lower part of one leg amputated*. * (From Wikipedia: "Despite his cheerful persona, Rose suffered over three decades of debilitating pain from assorted medical problems. In 1972, he underwent a botched heart surgery, which caused chronic knee infections that required 11 more operations and led to his losing his kneecap. He broadcast his daily radio show flat on his back from his home hospital bed for months. In 1984, after a fall made the knee problems worse, he had the damaged leg amputated.")
Next you'll be telling me Dr. Demento isn't a doctor. Not many know this...but he was also not a real doctor!

For the most part [at least in my case] the "usual mature demeanor" goes out the window with a back injury and you can turn cranky as Mr Wilson from Dennis the Menace in no time at all. They stuck me on heavy duty pain pills for a while and, at least from my view, I don't see how anyone can get addicted to them. They may have eased my pain but they also made me physically barf and constipated to the point it feels like you're giving birth to a 10 pound chunk of titanium. I elected not to take them unless the pain was so bad that I couldn't sleep.Unless he is so hurt that he can't function, he probably won't. He's committed to his outreach to people on behalf of Conservatism. His usual mature demeanor and, often, scholarly way of sharing thoughts and ideas is a great way to reach those who disagree.
That sucks. I told my doctor never to prescribe me pain medicine because it isn’t worth the chance of getting addicted. For the most part [at least in my case] the "usual mature demeanor" goes out the window with a back injury and you can turn cranky as Mr Wilson from Dennis the Menace in no time at all. I figure they don't want to put the Prager BRAND on hiatus, even while the marquee personality is out of commission. There might be revenue sharing agreements in place or something only network people would be privy to?Dennis Prager had a bad fall at his home and is in the hospital with back and spinal injuries. Apparently, he will be off the air for quite a while. It looks like Salem will have guest hosts filling in for him until he is able to return. I wonder if it would make sense for Salem or WHK to put the Prager show on hiatus and air the full three hours of Charlie Kirk live from noon-3 pm?
When Prager re-upped, he gave up the Noon ET/9:00a PT hour. His show is live from 1 to 3 ET/10 to Noon PT.Well, when Mr. Prager's show was 3 hours long, from Noon until 3:00 pm, WHK, rather suddenly, replaced Prager's first hour with the first hour of "The Charlie Kirk Show", and ran "The Dennis Prager Show's" first hour at 10:00 p.m. Now, WHK runs "The Dennis Prager Show" from 1pm to 3 pm, when (I believe) it runs live from Noon until 2:00 pm. The reason to mention this is that it seems to me that with WHK being a Salem Media Group owned station, they might be able to do anything they want with the Salem shows.
Regardless, I would prefer that they don't replace Prager with Kirk. In fact, I wrote a letter to them some time ago suggesting that they run "The Dennis Prager Show" live from Noon until 2:00 pm and then air the last hour of "The Charlie Kirk Show", which would also be live, from 2:00 until 3:00 pm.
Okay, fanboy.Dennis Prager doesn't spew dangerous conservative talking points, unless you consider any conservative talking point as to be 'dangerous'. He maturely shares his thoughts and concerns and, usually, backs them up with facts and other proof. He is, by far, my favorite...
Maybe this will spur that decision sooner rather than later. But the truth is, Salem needs Prager more than the Prager brand needs Salem. And with Sebastian Gorka apparently headed back to the White House, Salem would need Prager back sooner than later, if only to maintain some level of stability in their schedule.Maybe Dennis will retire

WRONG. Salem has no ratings in New York because they don't subscribe to Nielsen Audio there. Salem only subscribes in markets where they operate a CCM "Fish"-formatted station, like in Los Angeles and Atlanta.Salem "Answer" stations actually have ratings in some of their other markets, mainly in the South and West. LA comes to mind, and New York/Newark.
This is not possible; I heard a fill-in host explain this to a caller last week. Apparently his show, as with all their shows, is invested by contract for a certain time slot. If Salem were to put his show on hiatus and insert an entirely different show into Dennis's time slot, the Show would breach and therefore cease to exist and ALL of those employees who work on producing The Dennis Prager Show, would forthwith lose their jobs. Therefore, it is best to simply schedule fill-ins from KRLA's bench of Salem hosts.Dennis Prager had a bad fall at his home and is in the hospital with back and spinal injuries. But... when Dennis Prager's show ran 3 hours (12:06- 3pm M-F), WHK changed things up and put the first hour of "The Charlie Kirk Show" into the 12:06 to 1:00 pm timeslot. Dennis Prager's first hour, then, aired in the 10:00 pm hour on the same day. This is not possible; I heard a fill-in host explain this to a caller last week.
