DG makes a few additions

The first post doesn't make it clear.

At the time, Dial Global or DG distributed "America's Best Music", an adult standards/easy listening/soft oldies format, to radio stations. I'm not sure who's in charge now. Cumulus took it over.

It is now Westwood One. Same on air people - Jeff Rollins is still there.

I don't know WHAT I heard this morning. This format never has Chuck Berry type rock and roll. I thought it was a commercial. But it lasted too long. And it might not have been them. There are only supposed to be two songs, not three, between 9:40 and 9:50. What could have happened is a commercial was supposed to air and this song did instead, though it seemed to end when it was supposed to. 9:40 is one of those times when everyone has a commercial break.

I thought I'd remember the lyrics but I can't now.

"Love Grows" by Edison Lighthouse.

Is that new?

I know my local station's morning show has played it and it was one of those songs played on Timeless Favorites after it was no longer Timeless Classics. Or maybe it was on the local morning show then too. Interesting development with the local morning show on that station: it had evolved so much into an oldies sound that when the satellite format went from Timeless Favorites to oldies, it didn't even need to change.

Ahora es espanol, senor.
