Diamond Sports loses another team.

I hope the Boston, NYC and Philadelphia sports teams go back to airing games on OTA TV
As the owners of the Red Sox and Bruins share ownership of NESN, it’s unlikely they abandon that and go to OTA TV. Ditto NYC with MSG/Knicks/Rangers ownership and YES/Yankees.

But when you get to outstate Minnesota and the Dakotas, those don't have much of a presence in the other markets, so you'd have to do a second deal to get it every where else that currently gets Bally Sports North.
So in that case, if Scripps Sports do get the Wild, it means they could make deals with Forum (KSFL, KBMY/KMCY), Gray (KEVN or KHME) and Coastal (KVRR) to screen Wild games. But Scripps might possibly do something different when they actually do get the Wild or any teams from Bally Sports North.
Gray is the only one present in all those markets.
Expect that Gray doesn't own a station in Minneapolis

Between now and July 29-30, that where the Diamond Sports bankruptcy confirmation hearing, we are expecting more professional sports teams could be dropping out of Bally Sports and headed to either Regional Sports Streaming Network, OTA TV, and/or streaming services. Just like the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars, more teams could follow sue.

Still no word on what the Minnesota Wild will be broadcasting on if Bally loses the rights to air their games. I still suspect on Scripps getting Wild, and when they get them KPXM goes indie like Vegas and Lake City where Ion moves to subchannel. But still, we might get more info next week

No word yet on where the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons end up next NHL and NBA season. According to reports out there in Minnesota that they expect Diamond Sports to shut down 2 markets: The Twin Cities and Detroit around August 1st. We are expecting WMYD, which is do set to drop the CW at the end of next month and scheduled to return to an independent station, is set to acquire the Pistons and WKBD could acquire the Red Wings if Bally Sports Detroit gets shut down at the end of this month pending on the bankruptcy hearing coming up in 2 weeks from Monday. They going to expect WXYZ (owner by Scripps same as WMYD) and WWJ (owner by CBS/Paramount same as WKBD) expecting to make an announcement within the next few weeks.

No word on the Tigers as of now, if Bally Sports Detroit gets shut down by August 1st, the Tigers could be headed to streaming services via MLB.tv for the final 2 months of the current season.

Most likey MLB network will produced Twins and Tigers games for the rest of the season via MLB.tv

We still no word on who will the Red Wings and Pistons end up in the upcoming 2024-2025 NHL and NBA season. If Comcast is unable to bring back Bally Sports by the end of the month, all 3 Detroit sports teams need to leave Diamond. The Red Wings could land at WKBD and the Pistons could land at WMYD or could see a joint agreement with the 2 owners in Detroit.

The following owners that Detroit have:
Paramount Global/CBS
Fox
Scripps
Graham
Adell
And among that group, Paramount is being sold, Fox doesn't do local sports in any way, Graham has no duopoly partner, and Adell is going to lose his station in Chapter 7.

That leaves Scripps by default. And they will be dumping the CW from WMYD so they definitely have the room for more than one team, so they'll assuredly get both the Pistons and Red Wings.

So WADL is going to chapter 7 and shut down?? They can't acquire the Pistons.

If Scripps acquire the Red Wings, then the Pistons could launch their own DTC Streaming Service for free for residents in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Wisconsin and if you live outside of these states, them you have to pay them for $5.99 per game or $59.99 per season.

Same goes with Minneapolis-St. Paul. In that market, Paramount is being sold, Fox doesn't do local sports, Tegna has no partner station, and Sinclair just wants to save money by getting rid of local news in their stations.

That leaves with Hubbard and Scripps. Wild will end up on KPXM, while the Timberwolves will end up on KSTC.

Kevin Adell is a terrible businessman who single-handidly blew a $75 million deal with Nexstar Mission. He could never afford to carry game coverage of the Pistons even if he wanted to.

Let's be realistic here.

Are you sure? In past instances Scripps has built out general entertainment independents for acquired local sports coverage but those stations all had an established Big Four duopoly partner. That is not the case for KPXM.

If Adell sells WADL, the only ones that will get it are either a godcaster (most likely TCT) or someone who will turn in the license and receive money from it.

They could use the Wild as a experiment to see if a Scripps former-ion-turned-indie station without an duopoly partner could do well. They could use stuff from Scripps News for their News coverage or they do a agreement with an existing station to do their news just like what KPXM did back in the early 2000's with KARE. But syndication shows might be a problem.
