I wondered about that as well. The Castelton studios & new transmitter site were not in existence (at least not in their present form) when Oasis bought it...correct? If the price paid was almost identical to the price received & the studio building/new transmitter/antenna goes with it, that sounds like a substantial haircut to me...bigtime said:Was there really a profit from that sale?
Add to that the money he paid to WERK for their transmitter and antenna change for the power increase. IIRC, didn't he pay $7mil for the station?BobOnTheJob said:I wondered about that as well. right, but...if they're like all the people i know, they will be out for quite some time waiting for that multi-Trillion dollar stimulous package to create them a job. :![]()

radioho said:'made him a little money?' Are we also considering the operating losses over the past months? And how would we know he made a little money or not without knowing the exact figures and how much investment was made in the station since the purchase. And how much did he pay for those studios? Was it LESS than the $1.5mil?

after all was said and done the figure i read was in the neighborhood of $100K- he walked away with after his investment which was probably figured into the profit(or else why would he do it-if he sells Ft. Wayne- then you know he's screwed with money)- that's not alot out of over 6 million in the sale, but its more than you got.
