Wow! Some of you are actually channelling that part of Pugs that knows EVERYTHING, when really, we're all just speculating.

I know this is fun. I'll try to come up with some more wild speculations.



And later claim them as fact because I can't remember that I am the one who presented them in th first place.

When it comes to Pugs and Kelly, I went from thinking they were shallow morons to thinking they were okay. I think they just grew on me after a while because I was tired of listening to the latest Nickelback song for the 20th time on one of the rock stations, so I would listen to them just to have something to listen to (I drive all day for a living). I think they got me by including the audience in their daily lives. They may have been shallow lives a good deal of the time, sure, but they seemed to be themselves rather than some a-hole on-air character who goes from amusing commentary to frat-boy idiocy in 3.5 seconds.

As for both KLLI and P&K keeping quiet, those of us who followed Jagger from the Edge know what that's like. Not to mention when they changed formats on the Eagle. Apparently that's how they handle such things in radio. They leave the why up to the listener to find out. The only reason I found out about Jagger was because I was listening to Russ and they mentioned Jagger being on mornings there on 105.3. So just wait it out and keep your ears to the ground and one way or another, you'll figure it out.

Well I know there are not a lot of fans of theirs here, but I enjoyed their show.

I used to like them, but like everything else it was going stale. The "Human Growth's" all seemed repetitive, it was getting old to hear Kelly talk about her sexcapades day after day, etc. I hate to say it, but the show seemed better when they were less happy in their personal lives. The show had more of a "watching a train wreck" factor to it. Lately it's just been mundane.

I wrote in a lot of those "stale" HGD's, and they are all real and very personal. They seemed to be good call drivers as well, so other people seemed to enjoy them. I think they are like BDH, you really just have to get it or just have that same sense of humor. I can personally say I have gotten probably close to 100 people to listen to the show just from friends, family and co-workers. BDH will be the only reason I continue to listen to the station, whether it is in the mid-day slot (hopefully so I have something to do at work) or at night.

I'm not a listener of P&K, tried once but couldn't stand it. However, why are so many quick to assume a lawsuit is in play? Yeah, I've read that she sued over something that happened in Chicago, but apparently someone agreed the case had merit, b/c according to most on here that's the only reason they got this gig.

Because if there wasn't, everyone involved would be free to talk about the situation.

That's not entirely true. Generally speaking anytime ANY company of note releases someone there is a lot of paperwork that has to be signed saying the former employee will not bad mouth the company, or disclose the nature of their severance, the company itself won't disclose nature of their termination, interfere with future business, etc, etc.

We're talking about P&K here... They are lawsuit happy.

I was a pretty big fan of theirs - I don't disagree with the criticisms posted here, it's just that I found them real and didn't have a particular agenda. I found their apparent ignorance sometimes off-putting, but at the same time I get tired of talk radio hosts having enough facts or factoids to pretend they know what they're talking about (and to put down callers who disagree with them). It even seemed to me that Kelly especially pretended to be less intelligent than she is, to be humorous.
Anyway, I would like to find out where they end up; I don't have any interest in listening to anyone else on KLLI now, but I'm not part of the target demographic anyway (since I don't drink, have a need for hair removal, go to topless bars, etc.) so it's not like Gavin "please don't abuse me any more, Russ/please don't stop abusing me, Russ" S. is going to care.

Also wanted to say, I tuned out for a year (reading this Gavin?) when all Russ could talk about was his stoopid batmobile. And the stupid hijinks with Gavin is beyond horrible. Your whiney voice is like nails on a chalkboard, not entertaining in the LEAST. The minute you whine, I change the station or when there is some dumb skit that should be SEEN not HEARD.

I used to worship at the church of Russ Martin. I listened to him everyday through college. Everyday, every minute. He started losing me when he started working out-I got tired of hearing about his work out and listening to JD tell him how awesome and ripped he looked. Then, he decided to learn to play the guitar on the air. I got sick of hearing JD tell him how awesome he sounds and how good he is getting. I can’t stand going to a party where the frat boy pick’s up the acoustic guitar in the corner and starts strumming, and I can’t stand listing to someone on the radio trying to learn to play guitar while everybody around him absolutely kisses his ass. It got old, I tuned out. I haven’t listened to Russ in over a year. Can’t say that I miss him. Does he still read the ratings every time they come out?

Not any more (ratings). They are still shooting fireworks behind the building, dancing around the "N" word, the band, his new auto repair shop in Plano, "Clo do we need a break?", "Spin the wheel" etc. Plus... JD the "News Director" pulls stories off of the internet fo Dan to read and they are the SAME stories that I heard on the Jagger show. Can't stand JD or Trey. :
