That is funny! If he can't brag about it, you won't hear about it. He has been kinda funny but as I said, I turn it off the minute Gavin speaks or some stupid trick, ie fireworks (something to be SEEN), but that's it.
I can see that the interest in this topic is waning so I'm posting this in part to keep it alive and in the forefront to keep the folks who care awake....
I know nothing we say will get P&K back on Live but could play a big part in them getting another gig (especially in the DFW area!).
You don't realize what you've got 'til it's gone but listening to BDH drone on in middays is a constant reminder to me and many others of what we have lost. P&K WERE a perfect fit for the "Live" format and a perfect buffer between Jagger and Russ. I always knew that when I got a break between meetings or when my work schedule permitted, they would be there. It's a void that BDH doesn't fill. BDH has his place at nights and I do not disregard that in my respect for him as an entertainer. But I do wonder how long this will go on and who or what they will replace P&K with.

Well turn about is fair play. I remember when they took over the time slot from ron and don. The last broadcast when they did the grave yard shift eluded to them not coming back and then WHAM, they pop up mid day and bag on the previous show. Oh well Karma (like pugs) is a bitch ;D I knew BDH was gonna be there sooner or later cuz Gavin sweats him and the boring ass circus. at least Eric can stop being Pugs punching bag. Eric and O Malley middays would be good.

Yes, they still read the ratings when they come out.
Yes, they're still number one in their target demo and others.
They also give the ratings in promo's for the show.
Does it really matter if this show is gone? It wasn't much more than an infomercial with commercials. Looooooong commercials. Kelly went between pretending to be stupid, to actually being stupid. Pugs was OK when he wasn't being opinionated...that guy never knew what the hell he was talking about. The show was mediocre at best. But it was what it was.
Something has to happen quick...If I hear BDH tell the joke about having his own personal caution flag in his legends car, I'm going to stick an ice pick in my ear.

i`ve read ever single post in this thread. i must say the majority of you are just haters & not the type of people that would listen to P & K in the first place.
it would be difficult for you to listen to them in the first place as you would have to lift your fat ass off the chair you sit in in front of your PC 6-10 hours a day to turn your radio on !
i guess you could listen on your pc [ provided its fast enuff & not still on 28.8 modem ] while you type , type , type your bullshit on your favorite message boards. tryin` to win an argument ONLINE or sway anyone one way or the other [EDIT]
i cant believe the amount of P&K haters here , or the amount of complacent , callous , jaded , cynical --no LOVE for LIFE -- "folks" that can tolerate russ & robin. lets get real here [ P & K were ]
question : what if you were stranded on a deserted island [ its a hypothetical question , your not really on an island dummy -- "look up hypothetical" @ dictionary.com ] -- who would you rather be stuck with P & K , or russ & his laughing shadow dummy. first off , russ & co. would probably eat your ass , given they got hungry enuff. LOL ---- they would certainly drink any alcohol you might have had stored away !

its all BS politics/ conspiracy propaganda , p & k said or did something that pissed someone off , got a little too close to the truth , basically po`d the wrong mo fo & thats that. in this huge conglomerated corporate world , he who has the gold makes the rules. this superficial facade of a psuedo structure that the ones in charge have built up a round themselves will crumble down upon them when the sleeping giant finally thaws. i for one am not gonna take this matter lightly & you will hear more about this whole situation on national news soon.
you know who your friends are , you know in your everyday life who is "real" & who is not. there isnt much more time to pick sides. i feel bad for p & k , as they`re sky has fallen & the world where they were comforatble in has been taken away from them cruely & i feel unjustly. and the chicken-shits who did it cant even show thier faces. friggin cowards i say. --- keep your eyes to the skies , p & k will be back.

AKASHAMAN, get a grip. You are talking about 2 useless ex-radio talkers whose previous lawsuit terms has expired. 105.3/CBS Radio finally realized they were excess baggage.
If P&K are as "Real" as you say, why don't they post on this board or their web site and state exactly what happened!

the radio isnt free anymore & for the people , its all controlled by clear channel & the neo-cons.
P & K were too good for terrestrial radio anyway , they will end up on satellite.

Wow... I wonder if AKASHAMAN is either P or K?
I think it has been asked but no answer-how many lawsuits must one file to earn the label "sue happy"? I see that term thrown around ALOT here, but only one lawsuit has been cited. If one lawsuit is all that it takes, by that definition, anyone who has ever filed a lawsuit is sue happy-ergo 100% of people who have filed suit are sue happy. Have P and/or K filed multiple suits? Can someone provide a link for me to read up on them? I would find that helpful.

Lawsuit-happy is not based on numbers. It is an attitude. We're living in a lawsuit-happy society, because of the high rate of frivolous lawsuits.

My understanding from an avid listener is violation of FCC from the secret squirrel episode. You can find it on Yahoo. But we won't really know for a while. They do plan to make a statement, just not sure when????An FCC violation may be the reason the company gives, but considering how long Howard fought some of those FCC fines, a violation is not the 'real' reason thet're being fired.
The supposed FCC violation may be the pretext, but that fact that KLLI was (IIRC) 18th 12+ in the latest ratings probably has a lot more to do with it. The fact that (again IIRC) KLLI was not even in the top 10 men 25-54 (M-F,6a-7p) probably has much MORE to do with it.
When your station overall isn't even top 10 in your demo, that's a bad sign. Russ isn't doing nearly as well as he was a couple of years ago (i.e. when he and the Hardline actually kept trading the title of #1 in afternoon drive) but he's still doing well.
And when did Jagger move over there? He may not have enough time THERE to be fired yet-

she also filed legal papers against the guy she was having an affair and committing adultry with, can't remember the guys name but he left is wife for her (I think) then he was going throw some naked pics on the net after she dumped him, so I think the term "sue happy" might fit here.
That is the first time that I have ever heard anything remotely like that about Kelly. Who was this guy? When did this happen? Where did you get that info? I don't doubt that it happened, but after listening to P&K for several years, this is the first time I have ever heard someone make that accusation.
