Auditory magic is what I used to experience when I was still able to receive unscrambled feeds of satellite programming from Muzak.
[size=8pt]Then 2008 reared its ugly head, and I did manage to keep it going for a little while, anyways.......then I pointed my dish a little further west and discovered DMX. At that point I realised that all the magic was gone. I mean, yeah, I do go into Muzak withdrawal occasionally (hearing it on a CD player, recorded at some earlier time [obviously] doesn't have the same pizazz that actually hearing it on the DVB stream does) but I remind myself that there's still a Shari's restaurant down the way from me that I can go to when I need a quick fix. Yeah, I try to manage.
At least with the CD, despite it lacking the pizazz that actually hearing it on the DVB stream has, it is far easier to put 60+ hours of it on a disc and slip it into the car stereo, than it is to track a Ku-band signal in a moving vehicle! It is more convenient, if nothing else. Made driving to and spending almost a month in Anchorage in a semi truck doing practically nothing productive (and the preceding/subsequent waits at the BC Customs) a little more bearable. ;o)
