Fantastic word game

Schedule your next visit to the Fantastic Word Game for as soon as possible so you can rock out, enjoy yourself and have the best time you can possibly have with sentence creation!

The best time you can possibly have with sentence creation is not surpassed by the Kenny and WMC Rockfest at Illusions

The Kenny and WMC Rockfest at Illusions is coming up in just a few days so make your plans now to get down with your own bad self and the mechanical bull.

It's really the 80s Rockfest at Illusions but Rockfest is fine as we've been weaving other decades in on occasion.

Your own bad self and the mechanical bull sounds really bad, so we shall busy ourselves with...well... more intellectually edifying endeavors at the library.

More intellectually edifying endeavors at the library are probably not very alluring to the majority of the people who enjoy riding the mechanical bull at Illusions, although I notice that many of those same people have no qualms about sharing a lot of bull on The Fantastic Word Game.

Today's Fun Factoid: The first library is believed to have been established in Sumer in southern Mesoptamia (now southern Iraq), which housed a repository of 30,000 clay tablets with cuneiform writing. The oldest are from 2600 BC.

The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as most librarians except Miss Silkie prefer) started way back in December 2006 with mostly other contributors (although I was there from the start), another website, other owners, and a little dream to reach 10,000 pages.

Ok, that dream wasn't there the very first day because who knew how far we'd go. But, here we are, 8 years and 3,221 pages later. Only 6,779 pages to go.

"Going once, going twice, gone to the highest bidder", cried the land auctioneer as he banged the gavel and moved on to the next item up for sale as the frenzied crowd ran to and fro seeking some knowledge or information about the last sale as though it was yet to come.

Yet to come join us in our Yahtzee game are former baseball players Rich Yett and Robin Yount and the Yeti, but I doubt that they will show up because Yett and Yount are on their yachts and the Yeti is not real, although if he did exist, he would probably be a total yutz.

I just learned that the word lasagna derives from a Latin word meaning "chamber pot." I fail to see the connection. Maybe I don't even want to know.

A total yutz was sent to deliver the pizza and managed to drop it on its side, so it arrived with the toppings mangled and clustered on only one half of the pie.

Old time comedy is not generally part of Kenny and WMC's 80s Rockfest although Kenny is old and there is plenty of time to have fun every Saturday night at the new Illusions.

Tentatively, the grand opening of the new Illusions should be some time in August, probably on a Saturday night with Kenny and WMC. Currently, the mechanical bull is not available tonight as it is being refurbished.

Every Saturday night at the new Illusions there will be great food and drink specials and of course we will play the great hits of all time til dawn.

Well, we mainly play 70s and 80s, but will throw in songs from all ages.

TFWG: Behind The Scenes takes an in depth look at the history, operation, maintainence and offshoots of the Fantastic Word Game, and recalls all the great moments, past and present, while presenting possible scenarios for the future of the world's favorite word game!

The world's favorite word game tv show will include backstories on many of our memorable past contributors including raptus regalitur, the late Anyacat, Stuart, and TheDude.

Raptus was our Linguistics Czar. He ticked off the previous management of Radio-Info and was banned from the site. Not sure if the current mgmt of RD would welcome him back. Anyacat was our original Director of Fun Factoids and a huge word freak. Sadly, she passed away 4 or 5 years ago. Stuart was an interesting young man who didn't quite get the game. Or, maybe, it was that he didn't quite get the difference between the game and the separate dialogue. And TheDude, of course, started this whole thing 8+ years ago. Then he disappeared. Then he came back. By then, it was a slightly different game and he didn't want to play by the rules. He actually attempted to get the mgmt of Radio-Info to shut the thread down. Can you believe that? He didn't last long. He went poof soon after. Should be interesting stories if we can get raptus, Stuart and TheDude to be interviewed. I'm sure most of us who knew Anyacat can provide enough anecdotes especially if we can get dmargalotti and quadraphonic involved in that.

Raptus regalitur, the late Anyacat, Stuart, and the Dude were some that was here along with LasVegasRadioJunky who left to start the trivia game, but he also completely disappeared from this site.

Who was the one that didn't follow the rules and caused trouble and almost got us on the "take it outside board, I remembered he was nicknamed "Ken Jennings"?
