Fantastic word game

Inside my barn sits a 1959 Chevrolet Apache in dire need of restoration.

Dang it, CH. Beat me to the submission by mere seconds. This is the best I could offer on the fly.

Restoration of the shah to his throne is the aim of Iranian reactionaries, or at least those who have managed to avoid execution.

Game Shah also works well as an alternative title for WMC!

A strenuous planning process is needed to get me back on the right track.

I'll make a visit to the PowerWorld LLC medical team. They are usually standing by at a moment's notice. Or maybe I'll just pay a visit to Miss Silkie and the lovely young library interns. They are also usually standing by at a moment's notice. I can't decide. Thanks for the warm thoughts, everyone!

Brutal treatment by Bluto led Olive Oyl right into the oddly shaped arms of Popeye the sailor man.

Much to the delight of Olive's brother, Castor.

J. Wellington Wimpy is one of the first scam artists to whom we were introduced back when we were growing up.

Tuesday my foot, you dad-blamed mooch. You'll pay me now for that hamburger!

When we were growing up, we used to watch Saturday morning cartoons.

WMC picking up his big girl panties and stop this whimpering and whining about his case of Covid happens now because CT no doubt will have a thing or three to say about the poor multiple verbage used here.

Love you too Stuart!

The poor multiple verbage used here might as well be called that, since verbage means the junk language of whimpering and whining, while verbiage refers to the excellence of posts about living and happiness.

Dearest WMC, if you do not steer clear of our lovely, healthy interns with your cooties, we shall have to instruct our lovely, healthy interns to steer clear of you, whether or not you walk around with one of those ridiculous testing sticks on a ten ton cardboard square. They already have little frou frou noties all written out to you to schmooze you from afar.

The excellence of posts about living and happiness shall be left to CTListener who should be (although isn't) regaling us regularly with linguistic tips, insights, observations and thoughts.

Duly noted, Miss Silkie, duly noted.

Our roster of contributors over the years has included a 'Who's Who' of larger than life personalities dating back to the days of RadioInfo.

Yes, I am fully aware that there was RadioInfo and Radio-Info, one of which became the other. 99% sure we've been in existence since the original one. Someone else can do that research. Perhaps our esteemed moderator David Eduardo can pop in (I don't think he has ever posted here although our late great administrator Frank Berry did once or twice over the years) with the answer. And we certainly hope David adheres to the rules of the game while doing so, if in fact he does so. ;)

The days of Radioinfo were so long ago, but the original version was hyphenated and had a merry cast of differing personalities.

...and I just came to the realization that after 20 something years, the mere thought of Sam Buca still gets my blood pressure up. There you go, WMC. Delve way back into your memory bank. I just threw you a bone.

A merry cast of differing personalities is a pretty accurate way to describe the composition of most of the newspaper copy desks I worked on, but one thing that would stop our merriment in its tracks every time was a misspelled word in boldface type, such as "verbage" in WMC and Silkie's back-to-back entries.

It's "verbiage," with an "i."
