Yeah, let's cut the playlist down to about 200 overplayed oldies. 200? Well, I'm being generous here. You Make Lovin' Fun, Still the One, You're the One That I Want, Play That Funky Music, Stayin' Alive, Just the Way You Are, ....AQH said:carolinaradio said:The tighter and more focused the playlist, the more mass appeal the station is going to be.
Whoa easy with the facts there fella, those are fighting words around here.
Jack wrote "album version," not "album cut." No need to be so snarky, curiousf...he was just stating his opinion.

The sky isn't falling people. Their playlist has been drastically reduced (which does include cutting out garbage novelty songs like Surfin' Bird) but it is STILL superior to KJR's ELO/Fleetwood Mac/Doobie Brothers/Eagles marathon.

Oh, and yesterday and today on my way to work, I got to hear that age old gem, "Kokomo". Two days in a row! Wow, what a treat! So, kudos to whomever has taken over the programming at the station. Its an old joke, but you may as well just change 104.5's call letters to KRAP.

After posting several times about how awful a radio station is, why in the world do you listen to it so often?
toonces2u said:That would be a good question AQH, except that I said "whenever" I tune in. I rarely listen anymore but for Sunday mornings for AT-40 and I punch the dial in my car on my way to work, which is only a 15 minute drive. I am usually listening to AM 1090 but occasionally will dial in 104.5. It's pretty pathetic that with how infrequent I do listen to KMCQ anymore, that I hear the tired old crap that they play now, especially Kokomo at virtually the same time two days in a row. By the way, I am not the only one complaining or voicing displeasure on this site regarding the idiotic changes at that station.

To one their own, but my definition of "rarely" isn't two consecutive days. Let alone enough time to hear the same song in consecutive days.
Get out, enjoy the world and the warm weather, don't worry about a g-damned Beach Boys song.
yep tooounc2e a great suggestion! time to get out on a trip and enjoy the world. perhaps you should check out the warm weather in aruba, jamaica, bermuda, bahama, key largo, montego, or martinique. yep, that'll help make you forget that g-damned song.AQH said:Get out, enjoy the world and the warm weather, don't worry about a g-damned Beach Boys song.
