I do not see how it can be Jack FM. They don't do to bad in the ratings and their overhead is low because of no jocks. If it is a CBS station it would have to be 107.5 or 105.3. I also thought it was stated that it was a non Cedar Hill station

that's not the only format change coming. with one fourth of the staff to be able to pull it off, another station goes in another direction, before...Oct 1

The question is how much better could they do if they were where >85% of the market's listening is: FM. Being on 93.3 would help their 25-54s tremendously. If you have an FM frequency that is not killing it, then a simulcast could make a lot of sense. i93 seems to be doing decently though. Certainly better than recent versions of The Bone.

The problem with moving any AM station to FM is what do you do with your AM, and can you make up what your AM&FM was making.
Making up numbers- if the Ticket is billing 20 million, and the Bone 5 million, if you move the Ticket to FM, will it now bill 25 million?
VERY doubtful, that station is proof that people will deal with bad signal for good product.
(I was told this morning that D&M mentioned that their stream beats The Fan's radio signal in AM drive. If it was just about an FM signal, 103.3 or 105.3 would have killed the ticket a long time ago)
But let's say you do make that move. What format do you put on 1310 that will make you 5 million? Music isn't going to do it, and we're flooded with talk stations, the chance of making 5mil on a new AM talk station is remote, at best.
So let's say that being on FM increases their billing 10, even 20%. Now you've got your Fm signal billing 22 or 24 million, and you're making diddly on your AM station.
I just don't see it happening. Especially now that i93 is doing well. My wife brought home some info on that station from the ad agency she works for-let me see if I can find it...

i93- 16th 6+, 12th in cume.
They've got 900K in cume, already up to half of what KISS has, and they've been steadily gaining cume.
They're still getting their *ss kicked by KISS, (a 5.9 to a 2.7 6+)
but i93 has climbed to top 5 in women 18-34, and top 10 women 25-54. And (as my wife pointed out) that means they are getting a LOT more agency business, which means a lot more money.
Switching the Ticket to 93.3 might have made sense when 93.3 was doing awful, now, i93 technically has higher overall ratings than the Ticket...
