Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2

With the transition of SPEED into FS1, not only will the motorsports coverage be reduced, but programs such as Speed Center and Wind Tunnel with Dave Dispain are a thing of the past. There are other shows such as "R U faster than a Redneck?" that will joyfully go away too.

I also noticed that the "new" NASCAR Hub will be reduced to 30 minutes from an hour.

Keep an eye on Fox Sports 2, which is replacing Fuel and supposedly launching at the same time as Fox Sports 1, although there has been virtually no specific promotion for the second channel. They will have a lot of time to fill.

Interesting to see they would add Donovan McNabb - The same Donovan McNabb who's on NBC Sports Radio with Mark Malone every Weekday Afternoon

(But then too, NBC has Dan Patrick on SNF even though he does mornings on Fox Sports Radio AND simulcast on FSN & affiliated outlets so.....)

Cheers & 73 ;D

Last I checked Patrick was not simulcast on FSN outlets. Some CSN stations, but not FSN. NBCSN also airs the show.

Also last I checked, Fox Sports Radio just buys Patrick's show from his producer.

Correct...when NBCSN picked up the TV simulcast last year, FSN stopped carrying the show. The TV simulcast of Patrick's show itself comes from DirecTV's Audience Network.

What does Skip Bayless know about sports? From what I've seen, It sounds like Regis's show is supposed to compete with "First Take."

Isn't FOX trying to go after a younger demo? Don't understand why Regis. Also NBC has the Notre Dame rights not FOX which is his favorite team.

Noticed that Time Warner in my area is removing Turner Classic Movies on basic and putting Speed future FOX 1 in its place. I remembered when Speed was on basic but got removed few years back.

Comcast did the same thing in June, moving SPEED down a tier. Yet it's still buried at Channel 408, only about 375+ channels from the main ESPN twins.
That's funny. Here in the Denver area, Comcast has SPEED (Soon to be Fox Sports 1) on Channel 77 (SD) & 777 (HD). ESPN twins are on Channels 34 & 35. ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain (Formerly FSN Rocky Mountain) is on Channel 26. Altitude Sports & Entertainment is on Channel 25 (Altitude 2 is on Channel 105 in SD via Comcast's own CET & in HD on Channel 948 since it's programmed only when there's a conflict on Altitude)

NBC Sports Network is on Channel 73 in SD & 669 in HD (To my knowledge & recollection, this is the only channel the network & it's two predecessors, OLN & Vs. have ever been on in Denver). That only leaves CBS Sports Network, which is on Channel 412 (SD) & 846 (HD) as the only one that's inconsistent with the channel landscape

Cheers & 73 ;D

It's also his alma mater.

If this is true, why is it I'm seeing it on ROOT Sports (An regional network) instead of NBC Sports Network (A national network) then ??

That doesn't mean Regis can't comment on or root for Notre Dame. Afterall, he's not paid for expert commentary since he's not an expert

Root Sports is also owned by DirecTV.

Any info on channel numbers moving on cable/sat/IPTV systems when Speed flips to FS1? My Uverse on screen guide let me schedule a DVR recording of the UFC Fight Night on Speed for 8/17. Nothing in the guide suggest new programming for Fuel or the addition of an HD feed of Fuel or FS2.

Has anyone seen a list of cable co's that have finished negotiations and come to terms with Fox Sports to go live with FS1 and FS2 on Aug 17th? Can we assume some companies will hold out and just drop Speed on Aug 17th without replacing it immediately?
