If that was Martin's reasoning for hiring SAS, then that's exhibiting an alarming level of stupidity.
The ONLY way FSR will get a NYC clearance is for Clear Channel to buy an AM station in the market and convert it to sports/talk. And that station will never be able to compete against WFAN and WEPN. Aside from that, they will never ever ever ever ever get an NYC clearance.

Not saying the guy doesn't have talent, but he was a bad fit for morning radio. SAS might be better off going after a show on the Sirius NBA channel.
