That's HD3Oh š I thought it was another country station.

Oh I think Iām confusing it with 93Q that has 3 country stations on HD.That's HD3
Itās been on 100.3 HD-2 for a long time. IIRC it was there when I got a car with HD radio in 2013. Occasionally the SportsRadio 610 hosts refer to it, but it is not really promoted, unlike the KFNC simulcast on 97.9 HD-2, which is co-branded with the main 97.5 signal. How long ago did 100.3 HD2 become a simulcast of 610 am Houston??
Agreed. Putting sports on a deficient FM signal would be a major misstep.I hope not. I hope they go full-bore on one of them. Likely 101.1 if they do it at all. If they are gong to stick their neck out, they need to do it with a signal that can get the job done. KLOL-FM can certainly do that.
Mega would have to be around in 2039 to accomplish that. The published numbers certainly don't reflect that. Suffice it to say, Mega will not be outlasting the longevity of its predecessor.
Instead of āGo see Cal, go see Cal, go see Calā it should be āGo see Gow, go see Gow, go see Gow.āš¤ŖYou already have a rimshot FM sports station down there. You may know of it. It's the one you've sold off more times than a Cal Worthington Chevrolet, partner. š¤£
How about revenue? The published numbers certainly don't reflect that.
People have been writing off Mega 101 since it launched over 20 years ago. Yet it seems Audacy is happy with the outlet and the options it gives them with clients. There is money to be made in the Hispanic community, which is why Audacy probably keeps the KMVK/KLOL Texas duo in their portfolio.Suffice it to say, Mega will not be outlasting the longevity of its predecessor.
So Latinos sport? The FCC today granted the application of KOHV-LP to move from 99.5 to 95.3, with 57 watts and antenna @ 40 meters HAAT.
I donāt think KOHV was ever on the air on 99.5; always K258BZ at my NW Harris County location. I currently hear a weak KTTF on 95.3.
I still donāt see Audacy keeping its sportstalker in market #5 stranded on AM indefinitely, when most of their other markets now have a simulcast. But they may have to acquire another FM signal or two in Houston (likely via multimarket station swaps) before a move of SportsRadio 610 to FM happens. It's also possible that some of you are reading into what Audacy does in other markets way too much.
Why would a LPFM run that? Iām expecting Spanish language religion. The LPFMdatabase website claims KOHV is already Spanish religion, but as the station has apparently never been on the air (maybe some brief appearances?) I donāt know where they got that info.So Latinos sport?
Radio-locator is listing it as LA NUEVA.Why would a LPFM run that? Iām expecting Spanish language religion. It's been awhile since I've heard it but their TOTH ID had mentioned KOHV-LP even though I've never heard it on the air.Radio-locator is listing it as LA NUEVA.
Some programmers will simply make stuff up, or at least have no idea of what is actually going on. Remember when the Xxx-FM pirate on 87.9 claimed to be simulcasting on KTTF-LP during their TOH āIDā?It's been awhile since I've heard it but their TOTH ID had mentioned KOHV-LP even though I've never heard it on the air.
The KFNC transmitter is still on but was dead air at several checks this afternoon. Programming going as normal on 97.9 HD-2, so probably an STL failure for 97.5.Also 97.5 is off the air.
Hey, that's not bad, SeƱor. I'd add it to the routine, amigo.100.7 The word wordless for the past 30 minutes.
Just another one in the long line of failures at 97.5. I am impressed to hear it's just an open carrier going out. I would have been distraught had the leaning tower finally succumbed to gravity. There might have been an innocent cow, horse, or what have you, standing below, unaware of its impending doom. The KFNC transmitter is still on but was dead air at several checks this afternoon. At least no one hijacked the Barix box this time.Hey, that's not bad, SeƱor. I'd add it to the routine, amigo.

Something is going onā¦at my NW Harris County location I am hearing a strong signal from La Nueva on 96.1. Usually I hear K241CO (KSHJ translator) with a decent signal at home, but it is being completely obliterated by La Nueva.96.1 La Nueva is sounding very clear in The Heights. Even better than 94.1.
Probably launching a new format? Maybe moving La Nueva to 95.3 and 94..1? Maybe moving ROMANCE TO 96.1?Something is going onā¦at my NW Harris County location I am hearing a strong signal from La Nueva on 96.1. The La Nueva TOHID includes KCDF and KIRP, which are both on 96.1. KCDF used to be weak in NW Harris County once you got out of range of K241CO.
Someone has cranked up their power. Anyone notice changes elsewhere in Houston metro? KTRU-LP getting clobbered?
