who do you suppose made the first call? Carr or WTKK?
Not sure, but I'd think that Howie had his rep make sure that WTKK knew of his possible future availability. Howie also changed attornies, from Popeo, the litigator, to Cohen, an expert, maybe the expert, in non-compete agreements. But, obviously, this thing has been in the cooker for longer than the past two or three weeks.
And, do you think this had anything to do with the Blazer hire? like, the former pd didn't go along with this decision, for many of the reasons you just cited?
It would be hard to think of O'Connor, with her old Jerry Williams connection, being too happy at hearing that Carr would be considered for AMD. With the kind of money supposedly being bandied about here, the decision to hire Carr would be above the PD's paygrade, but I don't think any station would consider it healthy to have a PD that was openly, or even covertly, hostile to their new, big money, hire.
