Last I heard, about an hour ago, Florida still had not been called, so history repeats itself. This time, it didn't make a difference in the overall electoral vote count.crainbebo said:Glad someone won in the end, and it didn't end up being another 2000 all over again. Bush won a MONTH after the election since it had to go through Supreme Court and was recounted (the Florida vote).

I'd rather have known what they'd have in their playbook if *neither* candidate won.........

NBC's was alright, but I watched portions of it.
ABC? Good god, they were HORRIBLE!!!!! Peter Jennings, David Brinkley, and maybe Roone Arledge must've been spinning in their graves. I even read that Diane Sawyer appeared to have had one too many, causing the Twitterverse to blow up.
Was Johnson on your ballot? I didn't look at mine. I noticed PBS had his results in yellow. I hadn't even been aware of a Johnson before that.anotherguy said:From what I can see everyone just voted for more gridlock for next 4 years, between Obama being re-elected and no real change in the house or senate, and both parties are equally guilty. It's times like this why I wish there was a choice of None of the Above. :-\![]()

Whoever wins there will more than likely be elected President.
That's how I see it, as of this post.

P.S. I'm still of the Dick Morris mindset. Romney will win by a landslide.

About that Romney landslide... you could tell the networks were ready to call this at 8PT/11ET when they couldn't call any of the swing states decisively for Romney, and his path to 270 was all but gone. This election didn't surprise anyone who used statistics, only those who used their gut.

I almost said it the other day, before the election - but I didn't want to be "taken outside," or seem mean-spiritied. But the hell with it, I'll say it now. Dick Morris is an idiot.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm on the opposite side of the political spectrum as you, and I agree with you about Dick Morris. The guy has been wrong so many times, and yet conservative pundits give him some aura of credibility.

Sure, it's nice to have others validate your opinion. And I wasn't referring to Morris's politics. I may not be a conservative, but I respect most of them and hardly consider them idiots. Maybe not as bright as me... ;D
For example, I may not like Carl Rove, but he is most definitely very intelligent, and NOT an idiot.

Perhaps I shouldn't have chosen Rove for my analogy. It was not a good night for him, and the election results may mean that money is not as important in politics as we assumed. I hope all those multi-millionaire conservatives think twice about giving Carl and his super-pac money in the future.
Would you consider someone an idiot whose superPAC spent hundreds of millions of dollars and got exactly......<wait for it>......ZERO positive results?
That's right. All the ads that Rove's PAC bought accounted for exactly.....<wait for it again>.....NOTHING. Not one single candidate.
Frankly I can't think of a better definition of an idiot than that. I'd even go so far as saying he even looks like an idiot.....except that he much more resembles Mr. Potato Head.
