Glad someone won in the end, and it didn't end up being another 2000 all over again. Bush won a MONTH after the election since it had to go through Supreme Court and was recounted (the Florida vote).

Well, I got to say...CBS had the best coverage, no doubt! Their presentation was a whole lot crisper and more concise, the way it should be. The graphics were also top notch as well.

NBC's was alright, but I watched portions of it.

ABC? Good god, they were HORRIBLE!!!!! Peter Jennings, David Brinkley, and maybe Roone Arledge must've been spinning in their graves. I even read that Diane Sawyer appeared to have had one too many, causing the Twitterverse to blow up.

Last I heard, about an hour ago, Florida still had not been called, so history repeats itself. This time, it didn't make a difference in the overall electoral vote count.

I'd rather have known what they'd have in their playbook if *neither* candidate won.........

Was Johnson on your ballot? I didn't look at mine. I noticed PBS had his results in yellow. I hadn't even been aware of a Johnson before that.

Ex-NM Governor Gary Johnson was the Libertarian Party candidate. I don't think he got more than 2% of the vote in any state, and only got 1% nationwide.

And, at least per CBS News, Roseanne Barr actually managed to get just over 49,000 votes. I'm not sure I want to know who would vote for her. :

About that Romney landslide... you could tell the networks were ready to call this at 8PT/11ET when they couldn't call any of the swing states decisively for Romney, and his path to 270 was all but gone. This election didn't surprise anyone who used statistics, only those who used their gut.

Perhaps I shouldn't have chosen Rove for my analogy. It was not a good night for him, and the election results may mean that money is not as important in politics as we assumed. I hope all those multi-millionaire conservatives think twice about giving Carl and his super-pac money in the future.
