And...yes, I'm ashamed I know this....the song It's Raining Men, was first offered to Donna Summer, who disliked and passed on it. Incidentally, and waaaay off the topic, the song "It's Raining Men" was co-written by the great Paul Shaffer. His girlfriend (now wife) originally hated the song. I'm sure she's not complaining now.

How Shaffer came to co-write "It's Raining Men" is six pages of good reading in his new book, "We'll Be Here For The Rest of Our Lives."
