"By the way, I couldn't resist but to comment on radiochicks three reasons Roper could never be successful... While I know we eat and drink radio, try not to give the listener enough credit to (A) know or care what happened to this guy in Charlotte a number of years ago, I'm in the biz and I'm not sure myself! (B) think that this guy had anything to do with another personality getting their walking papers, and last but laugably not least, hold this new air talent up to standards of a mega-talent that died 6 years ago. Hi Tina,
I think part of the problem with radio these days is we don't give the listeners enough credit. Radio is fan based, radio is personal, radio is part of our listeners daily lives ... they deserve credit and validation for their feelings. I found the articles on WXII.com to be a very interesting "study" on how our fans feel about radio. Check out WXII.com and search the site for WTQR .... you'll get about 25 articles from the last 6-7 years .... at the bottom of the article is a comment section and it is very interesting to see how our listeners feel and express themselves.
