Our fuzzy fezes recall him doing evenings on 9~Ten. Then he paired with Heidi Fogelsong when KFWhyEye moved to 5~Fifty. He left and came back as a newsman and fill-in talker. Now he's back as an early morning talker.
 
I realized a few weeks back that I like my life better when I am on the air on a full-time basis (after the wife knocked some sense into me). I have really enjoyed all the friends I made on "the outside" and will continue to grow my business sans political work, but this shift offers me the best of both worlds.

BTW, this is indeed go-round number three at KFYI...and I hope the last -- because I want to be around this time for a good, loooong time.

Thanks for all the kind words, but please remember to let me have it when I do something stupid (which I will).

Well, well, well.... it's been just about 4 years since Jim Sharpe left the building! ;D Since then he's left the building, come back to the building and been in other buildings.
 
I just wanted to let everyone know that I have indeed left the building again! At 11:15 am Friday to be exact.

And...I will be back at 4:30 am Monday.

Good thing KFWhyEye gave the Sharpemeister a cot as lately he's been clocking a lot of time on 5~Fifty. Doing a great job in PMD for Broomhead while doing his own morning show. And on the Denver debate night, Jim was doing post coverage from some redneck saloon in Mesa. A tip of the fez for going the distance!

he doesn't exactly have a good radio voice or smooth verbal delivery either ,,guess I have a lot of company in the knucklehead world

You've convinced me. I'll listen to you from now on. What time is your show on? I need to listen to someone I can believe in.

I must, however, point out a few things. First, you mis-spelled his name. Second, I think you meant "later" rather than "latter". Third, oral is the proper word rather than verbal. Fourth, periods are usually used in elipses, rather than commas. Fifth, he's been making a nice living with that radio voice for over a quarter century.

On second thought, never mind when your show is on. I don't think I want to listen to it.
 
That does it! The Nurse and I've decided to write in Jim Sharpe's name for Sheriff of Maricopa County. He makes more sense than all the other knuckleheads running for that office. Hopefully KFWhyEye will let him keep his current radio gig...the incumbent Sheriff did the same ;)
 
sharpe has a number of secret sources about BIG BIG stories, all sorts of mind boggling information about some very BIG BIG things, so he would make a good sheriff, but his information is so top secret and his sources so high level he can not reveal them or divulge the high level information to just anyone, but if he could you would be surprised, he is on top of everything.

This is why he is there on duty to help provide the top level information but alas he cannot because his sources are so HIGH LEVEL and you low life knuckleheads can not be trusted with the information.
 
There is going to be a big live sharpe event at some BAR but the location is not given out (guess it is a secret too) I am not sure where Tuscon Vegas Cucamonga??

I've seen a lot of dislike or all out hatred for many personalities, stations and/or companies on this board, but this is the first time that I can recall someone hating on Jim Sharpe.

My only theory is that MC is Jim's ex-wife.

Jim has the best show on KFYI as it is not hosted by a) someone in the midst of a shtic-coma incapable of an extended serious conversation, b) a pill-popping-bloviating-shill-hypocrite for the Republicans, c) a different kind of Republican shill who gathers other shills to hear themselves shill and occasionally bring someone on from the other side but only as long as their IQ is under 85, d) a redneck that often reminds us how his brother was tragically killed in a pointless war but then advocates for the continuation of that war presumably to keep his job on the station, e) a self-absorbed, phony, not really a God worshiper but plays one on the radio who was once a Libertarian but now a hopeless far-right nutcase that has lost 1/3rd of his audience, but before all of that was a reckless drunk failed "zoo-keeper" on a long-dead station or f) a series of hosts perpetuating ultra crazy conspiracy theories, fear-mongering albeit occasionally interesting science, numerologists, UFO moon-bats and other snake oil salesmen types.

I'm sure you all know which hosts fit the aforementioned categories. Jim isn't any of the above, at least he welcomes many different opinions to his show. Were it not for Handel on the Law and Sharpe in the Morning, what would be the point of even listening at all for the average person? ...well maybe the hope that you'll get to hear Barry Markson as we have this week, because he's actually very reasonable as well.
