John Fricke

FSR is unlistenable Now, Only Maller and Tony Bruno is good, Mike North may be worse than SAS, JT and Vic the Brick combined

I was wondering why Chris Myers was on tonight. How can Fox get rid of Fricke right during college football season? And why in the heck do you play Chris Myers on Saturday night? This should be reserved for reviewing the day in college football--which means live shows and call-ins! If Fricke is indeed gone, this is one of Fox's worst moves ever!

Chris "Yawn" Myers should have been let go back when he left the afternoon show. Heck, he should have been let go with the FSR/KLAC merger! The only reason I can think of why he's STILL at FSR, is because FOX/News Corp. dictated to Premiere Radio/CC that, if you still want to use the "Fox Sports Radio" name, you keep Myers on the payroll in whatever way possible.

After all, he's the only connection between FOX Sports TV and FSR. And has been after Andrew Siciliano got the heave-ho last year. That's depressing.

FSR's made a number of utterly dumb programming moves with Don Martin and the KLAC crew, but this ranks right at the top with "Fox Sports Soup." It merits no rational explanation otherwise.

I would disagree on the last one. There's no way in hell anyone can be remotely worse or more insipid than Vic The Brick.

you said that well done, I agree 100% "Fox Sports Radio's worst move ever!"

I find it completely unbelieveable that they're going with taped programming at a time where there are many live games going on and many others just completed. It makes no sense at all.

The CMI is perfect programming for when it WAS on, early mornings on Saturdays and Sundays when no live events are going.

If I hadn't read it on the Premier site, I wouldn't believe it was true.

Here are a couple of updates from Fricke's Facebook, emphasizing that he is still a (quasi-) member of the FSR team:

"Thanks to all, but for the record I am not off FSR. I am doing Friday AM for S. Smith, doing a Sat morning show this week... for the moment I am doing fill in, sure I would love to have a set show again and hope to in the future. But I am still FSR! :)"

"Thx John. I have nothing but strong admiration for FSR - and I am a huge fan of the product and the network - course I am, they pay me - but still as a fan I love FSR. All is good. Wild FB season to be sure!!! Friday 6-9a eastern, Sat 7-9a eastern. Sure I will talk lots of..." (post ends there for some reason)

Just heard Mike North for the first time. Is it just me, or is his show a love-in for Chicago and its suburbs first, sports talk second? Three callers in a row sounded like the Superfans, told him they were happy to hear him again and then just talked about which Chicago suburb they came from. "Glen Ellyn. Lovely neighborhood. Good for you." Unlistenable.

Now on Saturday Mornings FSR has this Sports/Stock advise show that 1/2 the time turns into Political Talk. I do not want to hear any Politics on my Sports Radio unless they are talking Labor Issues involving Owners and Players

Yes just stupid to take Fricke off on Saturday night when college football is getting done. I can't believe they play that CMI show in that slot, its ok for a Sunday morning. Fricke has the most passion and knowledge of anyone on FSR for college football he must be on during Saturdays! geez FSR! OUTRAGE!!! as Tony Bruno would say!

Fox has been making some very questionable programming chances for almost the last couple of years. Getting rid of Andrew Siciliano for Petros & Money, firing Ben Maller to make way for "The Soup" and dumping Fricke is the latest dumb move. Even dumber is replacing it with CMI. Heck, just go ahead and move "Race Day on Fox" to 8pm Eastern.

Fricke is back! He's now teamed up with Mike Lamb, but putting Fricke back on Saturday nights is one of the best moves FSR has made since bringing Ben Maller back. All they need to do now is pair Fricke with Chris Landry when football season comes back around.

Ben was never "brought back". He is a fill in guy who works weekends. If he cared about his career he would move to another market and take a chance on building his own legacy. He has no work ethic and wants other people to move slots and make way for him. No wonder he hasn't had his own weekday show. He sure knows how to get his 10 followers to hate all over other networks and shows on FSR.

Hows it going JT The Brick. Still not listening to your show....BTW

??? they hardly never have him on anymore. I think he is working there (Per Diem-When asked to work, he can disregard and he won't get in trouble-Per Diem)

He's EXCELENT!!!!

Where is Fricke? FSR better have him on this football season.

He filled in yesterday for Mike North. Mike filled in for Petros & Money all last week. Anybody who feels in for Petros & Money is much better than P&M themselves.
