I remember WTNH did run their 6pm news at 7.30 after the game overrun. As I see WFSB's listing on yahoo guide Inside Edition was in ET-Weekends time slot in its second half hour at 7.30pm.Ch3 did run ET-Weekend at 3am sunday morning on time.

I taped Andy again this week at his usual time, while the other CBS station was running behind. There must be someone who can explain this.

Very simple it was CBS week to air only one NFL game, most affiliates had the 1PM EST games, the only 4 PM EST game was Cleveland at San Diego, and some affiliates picked that game instead of the early games, Parts of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, Southern CA and some others went with the 4 PM EST game.

So while two games are available as if it is a double-header, the stations can only pick one?

FOX and CBS alternate the double header, while one has the double header the other network can only pick one game, Next week FOX will only have one game and CBS will have two games.

I didn't know how this worked, but I have heard people say "Fox has the double-header this week".

No it's CBS that has the double header this coming weekend and FOX has one game which most Fox stations are going with a 1 PM EST game.

I meant on a week Fox actually had the double header. Apparently "Brothers" and "American Dad" get to be on, then. I haven't checked.

I thought the Panthers had some sort of influence on which game a CBS affiliate could show. This is why I thought both CBS affiliates would do the same thing. Most weeks the Fox stations air the Panthers at 1:00.

The networks pick the games for the stations; there can be "appeals" case by case, but it's not like each station looks at the lineup and determines what they'll take.

[/quote]Well, as I've explained in more detail than you seem to care for, I have two CBS affiliates. One is actually in Charlotte and the other is in the next market over. Oh, if you go to the country music board and look at one of the Carrie Underwood topics I have a fascinating story about that.

One would think both stations would air the same game, but for the past two weeks, the one in Charlotte delayed CBS programming, meaning a 4:00 game, and the other did not, meaning a 1:00 game.

At first FOX and CBS for each market will choose a game for the affiliates , then it's up to the affiliates if the want to run that game or put a more sutable game for there audience, except for the home market and secondary market for the team in that market and must carry the home town team, which for Charlotte would be The Panthers, if their not blacked out. markets outside 100 miles can run a different game.

I have a similar situation, I get both Bakersfield and Fresno FOX and CBS affiliate and most of the time they run different games, which is good for me I get more choices, than the usaul 3 games, Fresno leans towards S.F. and Oakland and Bakersfield runs San Diego.

This week I happened to hear that the Panthers would be on Fox at 1. So what are the rules that apply to the CBS stations? I think the one in Charlotte is not alowed to show a competing game at the same time, and they're the ones that aired games at 4 and therefore had the schedule delayed. The other CBS affiliate did not have a 4:00 game because they started everything on time. Going by the distance between the cities of license in a car, they're about 90 miles apart.

First of all The Panthers are not at home, so CBS still can run a game at 1 PM as well as a 4 PM game.
According to the 506 NFL maps distribution forum all of North Calolina
this weekend will have Carolina at N.E. at 1 on FOX, Cincinnati at Minnesota at 1Pm on CBS and San Diego at Dallas at 4PM on CBS.

Yeah...and everyone but the Bay Area and Nashville markets (Raiders and Titans both at home in Fox's late slot) are getting San Diego-Dallas. We in Los Angeles are also getting the Cincinnati-Minnesota game on CBS, and Fox is giving us New Orleans at Atlanta.

One local newspaper whose TV listings were in yesterday's paper says both CBS affiliates will have a game at 4.

Every CBS affiliate except for Nashville will carry the San Diego at Dallas game on Sunday, even in the San Francisco Bay Area as originally said it would be shown, the Raiders are blacked out and The 49ers play on NBC Sunday Night Football.

The Niners are playing the Monday Night game (versus Arizona). NBC's game Sunday Nighter is Philadelphia at the New York Giants.

I'm currently watching the SD-DAL Game on CBS in Sactown and watching the Washington/Oakland game via KMPH Fresno and WNYW NYC via Sattellite.

Are you receiving KMPH 26 in Sacramento over the air, they do have a hugh signal in the valley, Fox 58 Bakersfield does as well, which I get in Clovis, there is a hugh overlap between KMPH and KBFX 58, and most of the time they carry different games same way with KTXL 40 carries different games than KMPH.
