Why isn't Rome on FSR between 12-3pm?

Because Jim Rome is a separate show and is not officially a part of FSR. That being said, Premiere/Clear Channel requires many affiliates to carry FSR in order to also carry Rome.

I caught some of JT's show last night during the 2 am Eastern hour. It seemed like he was getting plenty of calls, which is something I wondered about.

As for Ben Maller, I can't believe he is actually coming back to FSR! That is awesome news!! Is Karen K going to be joining him again? I always liked their husband-and-wife type banter. It was entertaining.

I've never understood why Jim Rome is not part of FSR, considering they'll add content from another company when Rome is all Premiere. Does it have anything to do with ESPN affiliates?

I would say so. He's on several ESPN Radio affiliates, though not that much. WKNR/Cleveland and "KNBR 1050" KTCT/San Francisco comes to mind, as well as WGR/Buffalo and WAMG/Boston. He was once on ESPN's New York and Chicago O&Os, a while back... as well as WTEM in it's dual affiliation with ESPN and FSR.

Tony Bruno is now clearly identified as an FSR show. From the KLAC studios, with the FSR phone numbers and imaging.

Quite strange since Dan Patrick's packaging seems very out of place with the rest of the network, and he, like Bruno, is part of The Content Factory. Turns out Tony's just on the main FSR clock too. Dan Patrick has his own four-segmented clock, which includes an extra minute of net spots, about 1:40 more of local spots, and his own phone number. I also never hear him identify the show as part of Fox Sports ever.

Bruno sounded good in his re-launch, it's just a shame he is working this awful shift where his talent is wasted.
Loved that Tony was reading obvious texts from JT's minions who try to hype up his lame ass show as superior. If JT's deal was up, he'd be out the door and he'd be out of work for eons. No way Sporting News signs him when Fox unloads him. Even SF wouldn't hire him to do a local show these days, so he'll learn the hard way eventually. Better save up now JT, the end of your radio career approaches :)

Sound likes Fox needs Bruno in the "line-up" to help with the Fox Network branding. Hi show is Content Factory owned, but he's obviously part of this "fox" lineup.
Despie Patrick and Rome not being real Fox shows, they probably sell that line-up as all Fox to compete with ESPN's lame dayparts. Sporting News should pretty much be dead soon. Can't imagine surviving with the few 3rd sports stations in those few small markets that have those non FSR or ESPN stations.

I'd disagree with saying the shift is "awful." Especially on the east coast, it works really well as is reminiscent of his old days on ESPN Radio GameNight. Their most unimpressive timeslot has the 12p-4p PST/3p-7p EST timeslot... a non-factor ever since Kiley and Booms were broken up. Chris Myers does deserve a great deal of credit for sticking around with a revolving door of co-hosts (C.J. Silas, Brian Cox, Sean Farnham, and Hartman/Jacobs) in five years.

FSR REALLY needs to be associated with Bruno. It's their best shot at reestablishing credibility ever since they let him go in 2004.

What's the deal with Sean Farnham being on what's supposed to be Tony Bruno's slot? He's on now and was on last night. Perhaps he's keeping the seat warm for Bruno? Nothing against Sean because I do like him, but is this what they pushed JT to overnights for?

If your local FSR affiliate can't play Bruno because another station cleared his show, they will play Sean Farnham.

Ahhh! So that could possibly explain why I hear Steve Czaban when I should be hearing Dan Patrick. We had a station here that was playing Tony Bruno's show at night, but I don't think they do anymore. The same station that was carrying Tony does carry DP.

I could be wrong, but I believe that Jt's last hour is just a repeat of his 1st hour. Then again every hour sounds the same.

That 5th hour is indeed a repeat of the 1st hour. And you're right, the hours that John Tournour is on the air all seem to blur together into one giant ball of suck. Now that Andrew Ashwood isn't around to protect him, JT has definitely reached lame duck status.

As for the latest incarnation of Tony B's show, I think it's a notch below both the old Extravaganza and his old SNR show because of the lack of a decent sidekick. Andrew Siciliano and Mark Willard were good foils for Tony, and Tim Cates does not fill that void in the current show. I'm still a big Tony B fan, but I can't help but long for the good ol' days. And I do find great consolation in the fact that JT and his remedial English/grammatical skills have been jettisoned to the overnight wasteland, where his career will die a slow death.
