KBIG hasn't really "flipped". Just a refocus on mainstream AC. No more disco. This would definately signal a change to come for Star.Marv-L.A. said:Would CC really flip two radio stations in the same market within a matter of weeks, and especially in a market this large and important to their bottom line?

They are doing exactly what they should be doing. Making KBIG a mainstream AC to compliment KOST. Star should become either Active Rock or rock leaning AAA.SuperRadioFan said:Sooooo what's gonna happen with 98.7 as this playlist seems IDENTICAL to what Star has been playing?

Oh but I think there is an audience for it, but they are listening to Jack for lack of something better. I think a good rock leaning AAA could take the legs out from under 93.1. Something KLOS should have done a long time ago.SuperRadioFan said:Sure hope you're right about that!! I'd prefer along with you a decent AAA station, though the demos wouldn't support it very well. The old FM 101.9 and Channel 103.1 WERE too mellow, they needed some of the harder-edged AAA artists or they should have been a good hybrid of what the old KMPC-FM/The Edge used to do and what FM 101.9 played in its first year and a half. Ahhhh but we're in the minority!![]()

Is this the same Geoff St. John, that is currently on WILD 94.9 in San Francisco?
