KBKS Morning Show Out

I suspect it's a temporary promotional change, just as stations change branding to "Taylor 106.1" when Taylor Swift is in town.

It is. However, and I don’t want to give anything away from it...there may be something else afoot that’s being mentioned in there.

It won't be Kraken. Or Jubal (forever). It could easily change branding to Wild or Hot.

Brain fart - what was I thinking!? I'm tired...
Wild 106.1, and I'll stick to that answer.

I'm not sure if I should reveal this but I'm going to anyway since it's n Radio Insight, but all indications are that the new name will be Hits 106.1.

Better than KISS FM if you ask me. That branding is so overrated and so is "Hot". Wild would be pretty cool to have but all the stations that I've encountered with that brand have Urban/Rhythmic leaning formats.

Wild 94.9 in San Francisco is a CHR Pop station as is Wild 95.5 in West Palm Beach Florida. Both are IHM stations.

KYLD evolved from rhythmic, WLDI was launched before iHeart trademarked the name for rhythmic stations, at least I think that was the case.

Side note: I see Alabama and English Evan are still on 106.1. Alabama is on Mid days I am not sure about English Evan.

Hits 106.1? I guess it’s different, but kinda lame if you ask me (being in Kiss’ target demo)

iHeart killed any brand reputation Kiss had in Seattle though, a fresh identity might help them out

I agree they switched to Hot A/C then back to CHR with no promotion. If anything they should have moved Power to 106.1 when they flipped 93 3 back to KUBE.

106.1's latest ratings with Carla Marie and Anthony were a 3. I would have kept them and moved them to nights or something or mid days. Moved Zahn with them as another host perhaps.
