Kevin Scott Fired...

I liked the Kevin Scott and Greg Hill show. Sean and Newy show's format is basically the same as Kevin Scott and Greg Hill show's was, except much worse because Sean is always talking over Newy. And Sean goes on these endless rants at callers that disagree with him. I stopped listening to Sean and Newy because of that. Ben and Skin are the only show that really got guests and they do alot of the open line multi-topic thing also.

You are nuts, Sean is the one thing that station has going that is not nails on a chalk board.

Hes annoying. Besides, he doesn't care if he gets taken off the radio, right?

I'm getting a report that Ben and Skin will not be in their current time slot come Monday.

Whether that means they are moving time slots or being removed, it sure is interesting.

I hope for B&S they aren't getting fired. Maybe they'll just get a new time slot. They are the one show that I listen to everyday on that thing that call a station. If it wasn't for B&S and the Rangers game I would never listen to the Fan. I guess the Ranch will be taking up more of my listening time.

Where did you hear about this?

If The Fan's ratings do not improve what happens to the contracts with NASCAR and the Cowboys? I am sure the Rangers would just go back to AM. I think they just signed a ten year contract with the Cowboys... I can't see The Fan being around for a decade.

Two things..... Told you at the top that Ben and Skin leaving was to be anytime now. As I hear it they can't take working for Bigby doing "Caller Radio" so they are leaving. 2. You don't have to be the Fan to have the Cowboys... Any format would work.

Working for Bigby is not worth working. {Ben and} Skins on the wall or not no person deserves to be treated the way he treats people. It has only made Spittle worse. I really wanted the place to succeed since I worked in the cluster. CBS does have a posting for a sports talk show host for 105.3. They have started hiring for the other positions listed within the last month so another show is probably coming soon. Although I guess that could be just for weekends and fill-in work. If Ben and Skin move time slots where do they go? Perhaps back to middays. They aren't happy with Sean right now because he turned down the pre/post co-host position for Cowboys coverage...at least that is what I hear.

CBS needs to quit playing sports station and leave it to The Ticket and ESPN. Flip the format to anything else and get rid of Spittle and keep the Jagger Show. Play some kind of music... How is that Amp/Now/Hot Hits format working out for them in NYC, LA or Houston? They could probably take a bite out of KISS...

Just a heads up for those of you that work for CBS. If they figure out you speak ill of them on your myspace, facebook or forums like these they pop you. I know a guy, that I used to work with, that worked for KRLD and they let him go because someone posted a derogatory comment on his myspace. It wasnt even him that posted it, but since he "approved it", he took a fall. Just sayin.

key word in my post..."worked" not work. But I do thank you for the heads up and that is always a good reminder in the online world we live in these days.

Listened to about 5 or 6 minutes of ben and skin on the way home. It doesn't sound like they care anymore. They are just taking one call after another and pretty much not acknowledging the callers. It's "let's go to Tim in Arlington" - Tim then pontificates on Jackson's death reminding him of Vinnie Paul's death - then straight to "John in Gun Barrell you're on the fan."

They seem to be mailing it in bigtime.

Thanks for the correction, shows how much I was listening ;D

The Jagger Show is on vacation next week. When a listener inquired as to whether they would run best of or have someone fill in - Jagger said it would be a live show but he didn't say who... My guess is Dan O'malley and some random newspaper reporter. :-\

Who really cares, this station needs to go in the dumpster.

Jagger's show has really gotten dull lately, IMO. I've been listening less and less. Trying to throw in sports on the show, when it really seems the crew isn't really all that interested, bogs down the show. Mondo sits there and reads all of his "sports" knowledge right off the internet. Not to mention when all of the shows try to mix in sports with current news, topics, and questions then take calls from listeners...it is just chaotic!!! One call is about the Rangers, the next call is about a cheatin wife, the next call is about a high electric bill, the next call is about Tony Romo, the next call is about a cheating wife, the next call is about car wrecks on the tollway...you get the picture. Kevin and Greg's show was a confusing disaster. However, I did like Kevin Scott (whenever I bothered to listen and I could usually only take about 45 mins before I turned on my Ipod). But Greg Hill was a trainwreck!! The guy was stupid, arrogant, a wannabe professional athlete, and just downright unlistenable.
