Dan would be great with his own show. Especially if he chooses to do his show with Richie Witt. Tasos on the other hand... not so much. :![]()

And here's where I disagree. I found Tasos very quick and refreshing when he was on with Dan. Dan, in my opinion, is talented but too much of a Russ wanna be. He needs to relax. I heard Dan for a few minutes this week and I do think he's found his niche. However, his own show? No thanks.
And if Richie Witt becomes a permanent fixture on 1053, he loses his credibility as an unbiased radio writer/journalist.
Richie? CREDIBILITY? UNBIASED?idiggraves said:And if Richie Witt becomes a permanent fixture on 1053, he loses his credibility as an unbiased radio writer/journalist.
ISaidSo said:Well what he does (Bigby) may work in a market like Detroit, But "Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip" radio will not work here.... Come on, multi-topic segments, No guest, and call after call of open lines? If I wanted to hear my neighbor talk sports I would walk next door and ask him.... Don in Dallas, or Jake in Grapevine telling me that they would like to see the Cowboys trade Romo for Peyton or "Top five TV Dads List" is not good radio. Kevin and Greg were terrible but it is not like they are the only problem. Nobody wants to work Gavin and Bigby. They may have to scrap those guys and start over.

ROTFLMAO.
That's the funniest thing I've read in months.
#1 he's an opionion columnist, not an actual journalist. Journalists report the news, columnists give their take on the news. He's let his biases shine through for years.
And he's completely lost any semblance of objectivity when you audition for a job at one station, don't get it and end up taking a job at another.
If the observer was a real newspaper, and not the left wing rag that it is, they'd have conflict-of-interest policies that would have him not covering or writing about a field that he has an interest in.
But it's the Observer so I'm not sure real rules of journalism count...
Make Me said:How is this any different than Barry Horn being a weekly guest on the Michael Irvin show? Barry works for a 'real' newspaper, right wing rag that it is, and is their sports media reporter. Shouldn't the DMN have a conflict of interest policy in place that precludes him from being on Irvin's show while writing about The Ticket and The Fan?
