Kidd Chris Problems?

Opie and Anthony are finished. It didn't work the last time they were on in the morning. Who in thier right mind is going to try it again. If thats the case. Then they should give Kidd Chris another chance. Why not bring back David Lee Roth if thats the case?
 
If they flip formats then Kidd Chris needs to get a really good attorney because it would seem that CBS wanted to get rid of him with cause so they don't have to pay him. Firing with cause is a grey area in these talent contracts. I would imagine management could find cause every day with every talent on the air now if they wanted, anything spoken is subject to interpretation.
 
Music will air on morning drive in the short term on WYSP starting tomorrow according to the Inquirer's Michael Klein.
 
the bit wasn't funny, the production quality was less than zero, forget the racism angle, they should have been canned just for letting the Yoko Ono sound a like in the studio.

CBS is batting 1000 in replacing Stern huh. Hope none of you own stock in the company.

after taking the station away for a year, they got alot of nerve putting on more talk.

Could NOT agree with you more.

Only one thing about this doesn't seem right, this bit originally aired in March? Why did it take CBS two months to get around to firing people over it?

Have they decided to blow up the station, and this is a convenient way of getting rid of a couple of people without having to pay off contracts (as was suggested earlier in this thread?)

If Chris was harping on this bit, I could see the problem. But it appears to me that this played back in late March, and it was forgotten about.

Is this correct? That maybe this bit played out for a few days at most?

If that's the case, I can think of a couple of things that happened:

1) This was brought to Dan Mason's attention somehow, he immediately went "WTF IS GOING ON IN PHILLY?" and pulled the plug.

2) My previously mentioned Imminent-Format-Change conspiracy theory. This happened with JV and Elvis before - they were fired two weeks before a format change. Of course, this was with a lot more controversy - they played a bit right in the middle of the Imus firestorm.

I can only imagine how this meeting went....

"Hi Chris, John. Sit down."

*Cook and Chris sit down, thinking that the higher ups want to talk to them about the Kidd Chris party that's going on that night."

"Chris, do you remember a bit you did back in March..."

Chris: "Uhhhhh... what?"

Yes, and they were well out of the top ten in the morning drive in Philly.
 
With CBS radio you just never know. If it's logical they will do the opposite.
