KJLH is so unfocused right now.

My favorite song played on KDAY is Romeo & Juliet by Sylk-E Fyne Featuring Chill. That song reminds me of Power 106 in 1998. Y'all remember that song?

word on the street that steve harvey will soon be gone, but Cliff wont be back, they'll recycle their talentleess pm drive duo into the am drive slot ............just sayin

His show is not the same anymore. It was special becasue it was live and local. Same with Big Boy now hes syndicated. KJLH might drop Steve Harvey but not anytime soon. If they do it now they'll have to pay to end his contract early. Don and Tammi in the morning not a good choice. But it would be nice to hear Lon McQ in the afternoons again more music less talk.

Did Steve Harvey play adult R&B on 100.3 The Beat or Hip Hop currents? I used to listen but I don't hardly remember?

From my assessment of his tenure at 100.3 as a local personality, it was 40% hip-hop and 60% R&B. As time went by, he made his dislike for the majority of current hip-hop well-known so he eventually phase most of it out of his daypart towards the end. In its place was more talking/interviews. However, his antics were contributing to the hurting of 100.3 the Beat because it was the only true urban in the town at the time.

The only reason Steve Harvey played mainstream Hip Hop & R&B on his morning show was because he was going up against Big Boy on Power 106 whom also used to play mainstream Hip Hop & R&B when it was in it's prime. I miss those days.

Do you think KDAY will actually go 'live' with the ownership change? Might give them a bit of a spike don't ya think? At least a 'live' and local morning show might enhance their brand. Without the huge dept that Magic was saddled with, and a positive cash flow, perhaps they'll take the next step and become a bigger player in the market. The potential is certainly there, with a combined cume of around 1.5 million. Any thoughts?

Just a guess, but I smell Indie...

Ha. That will get a few folks on this board excited about LA radio again.

We discussed this earlier. Lon needs to go home and sip his coffee and read the paper and stay away from a microphone. :D

How would you know until they try?

The Indie thing probably had more posts here than the cume it had in the last PPM months.

Would KJLH play My Neck, My Back( Lick It) By Khia. A little vulgar but a hot song fo real. I remember when Power 106 and The Beat used to play that song out in 2002.

Maybe during their Saturday Night Mix. They'll actually be better off not playing that record at all. Any station would be better off not playing that song. I was in highschool when that song came out and it was quite disgusting hearing highschool girls sing it in the hallway. I know guys who hate that song. Another 1 hit wonder desite the song she did with Janet Jackson in 2006.

KJLH is a ghetto urban ac. The airstaffers except for Kevin Nash and Lon McQ. Natica De la Cruz and Tammi Mac are some east of Crenshaw Blvd. chicks go real.SMH. Oh and to make matter they go from Big Pun's song Still Not A Player to Kem Share My Life.
