The Ocean wouldn't make a lot of sense here, but what about The Sound? It wouls kind of have the double meaning, referring not only to the sound of music but Puget Sound.
You heard it first here. Robin and Maynard in the mornings!
OK....I think they've evacuated just about every potential listener beside the freaks on these radio boards.
Legal ID says they will be announcing The Future at noon Wednesday. So there's that.
Then you don't understand the concept or purpose of stunting.
It's a stunt when it's 48 hours or less. It's pointless beyond that. There are other things to listen to.

Why not just do a hard cut-over to the new format?

If they wanted to generate interest in the frequency, they should've gone the novelty and comedy song route. Isn't stunting done to make listeners stop and take notice? Playing virtually what other stations play (except for the moldy oldies) is nothing special. Of course the "experts" will come down on me for saying this, but I don't care.
Marc Kaye, we understand the point of stunting. But if you really want to be noticed by someone scanning the dial, play something that no one else is playing. This is what happened when KMGI became KNDD (novelty songs), or when KXRX became KYCW (computer count up/down). There was a lot of water cooler talk back then...there's been nothing with KLCK (we're the only ones...doesn't that say something to you?). (Maybe 98.90 Mhz is the new cursed frequency.)
Then I guess we found another line of your thinking that is out of touch with reality.
