I'm not privy to the details of Alpha's contract with the Cowboys, but that clause is obviously not in place in many other markets, like Lubbock, RGV, Midland, etc.I heard as part of the contract with the Cowboys, their games had to be on a groups best FM Signal. 94.1 covers Bexar quite well and the signal is good here in Canyon Lake (Comal County): however, 102.7 is a little stronger here.
In Austin, the Cowboys' affiliate, KTXX, is the "best" signal that GAR owns, but that isn't saying much. It's a directional, class A FM from nearly 10 miles west of downtown.
Regardless, 102.7 is definitely better than 94.1, but it isn't orders of magnitude better in real world listening, especially if Alpha will turn off the stereo pilot on KTFM.
