L M A stations

wktx is not worth more than $ 45,000 thats what Whtx 1570 and 1540 youngstown sold for.

Not that I know that much about it, but I wouldnt think you can compare 1540/1570 to 830..Here's the Radio-Locator map for WKTX..

http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WKTX&service=AM&status=L&hours=D

Realizing the the map might be not all that accurate, even at two thirds of the supposed Coverage area, on a lower frequency of 830khz..Much better potential than either 1540 or 1570..Not worth 700k, but more than 45-50k for sure..The only drawback-it's still daytime only..

While it is priced high, my two were priced low when I bought them. Different situation. BUT what's the use of looking at anything for sale or an LMA unless you have the funding to be able to do either?

Look at the mess now in Canton with two AM's because someone was underfinanced.

its close to whtx comes in to cleveland when the wind is blowing the write direction if you pay that much for a am you will never get that money back after all they get a dollar for west side market spots .

WKTX has no appreciable Cleveland coverage, despite the fact they've actually sold ethnic advertisers on the WEST SIDE (Kossanyi's base).

Second-adjacent WKNR makes them a non-starter in pretty much all of greater Cleveland. You might be able to get WKTX with a semi-listenable signal on the east side, in WKNR's nulls...I haven't tried.

And of course, they're a daytimer, so they can't even take advantage of WKNR's spotty night signal.

does Wktx want to LMA .

That's ownership info, filled out by Attila Kossanyi, another relative (son?). There's an E-mail address, a street address and phone for him there (in Cincinnati).  If you want me to contact him, it'll cost you. :D

I may be wrong to say, but "sharona master" doesnt appear to have access to much money to do an LMA anywhere..The way he carries himself on here (no kind of thought in the way he types as far as punctuation, capitalization, etc.) The way he seems to want everyone to do his work for him.. How he "has all the answers" even after experts tell him otherwise.  If I were someone in radio that might do business with someone, he is one I would never take seriously..:D

May i ask how long you have been in the business to make that statement.Just because i don't write like you what has that got to do with it.

I contacted WHTX my self

You mean WKTX? WHTX is another station entirely. It's already in an LMA, and both the LMA operator and the station owner are regulars right here on Radio-Info. :D In fact, the owner has already posted numerous times on this thread, and you talked about his stations.

As far as WKTX goes, you must not have gotten the answer you wanted.

Well, Chris, after pages and pages of this thread, he doesn't seem to have gone beyond the scratching along phase.

If he's really gonna start contacting station owners, he'd better tell them what kind of check he's bringing along...

Its not worth what he is asking for WKTX i will wait for now.You people think you know me that well.

Its not your business but i have several thousand in my bank i rather buy a house and a car than a radio station that no one listens to anymore.

Then why did you start, and continue to waste time on, this thread?

testing the waters still want one will wait till people stop asking so much for something that is not close to what they are really worth.

That's what happens when you are in a severe economic recession.

Sorry, sm, I'm still not buying it. I think you want bargain basement LMA rates that would not be reasonable even in the most severe economic clients.

I trust Chris, the owner of one of the stations you approached and who has posted in this thread, would agree with me. Or his operator Jim, who is also a R-I regular.

You aren't just whistling Dixie here...station owners and operators are reading your words right here.

i will sit back i watch when the market goes down and keep my money again it was WKTX i forget i know nothing and you people know everything.
