Last song on WODS!

Did CBS yank Paula and JJ off the air early after he mentioned his years at KISS 108? It was jockless the last 30 minutes.

Doubt it. Heard Karen Blake mentioned Kiss, WZOU, etc. a bunch of times this morning on her show. They were talking pretty openly about their radio careers.

At the time of WODS's flip, WROR was playing "Don't Bring Me Down" by ELO at 11:56, "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics at 12:00, "Lola" by The Kinks at 12:04, "Beat It" by Michael Jackson at 12:08, and "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon at 12:13. Wonder how many 103.3 listeners switched to 105.7 at 12:00. What a gift WROR has just been given.

Per the aircheck, going into Seasons In the Sun they mentioned they were going off earlier than expected and "we didn't do anything wrong, they just need time to set up the new station."

I doubt that they'll do much with their gift like expand their play list to play disco.

They said goodbye at 11:20 I think unless they plan to come back on. They had a bunch of ads
but now back to music with Chairmen of the Board: Give Me Just A Little More Time

We were asked, quite nicely, to wrapup a little earlier than planned. All of us felt lucky to have the opportunity to give the station a proper sendoff. There really was no controversy associated with the early ending.

Thanks for sharing, Elvis. That General Johnson record at 11:20 was a nice touch, I must say...
