Latest from Earth 103.3

Radio is definitely not what it was and not sure for the better, Scooter which station are you with right now Id like to tune in to find out the best mix.

Scooter is right and I am right, sounds to me like we might have a pencilnecks on the board! I'm no starry eyed 19 year old, i'm almost 40. I never said that LISTENER feedback wasn't good research, you apparently haven't read a damn thing I've said on this board. I've long said stations need to listen to their listeners, not the consultant, pencilneck, suits, etc. You're only wasting your money, one needs to look no further than this market and all of the failed stations that have come and went because they depended on the corporate research model. That kind of consultant crap doesnt work, that's why radio is in the mess it's in. This market used to have some decent radio back in the day but most of it is unlistenable now. I've tried to become a fan of stations around here and I just have no loyalty to any of them, not like I used to back in the day. I end up flipping stations more because they can't stick with a format and it feels like someone is changing my radio, I can do that myself. So yeah keep up with your consultants and see where that lands you, you'l be among the landfill of other stations that have come and gone. Getting with the times? Son that time has come and gone, that corporate crap model ain't workin and you better damn do something now before these youngsters say "NO" to you altogether and you sell yourself out of a job. They already largely do not listen to radio, I teach college students and I can tell you right now that its very rare to find a single one that listens to radio. You said everyone else here was out of a job so what is it that you do? Whatever it is you seem to be clueless Radioman1969. If something drastically isn't changed soon then don't be upset when you see stations close down one after another due to "getting with the times i.e - Ipods and downloads". You must be one of those people in sales who thinks they know everything. We listeners know a lot more out here than you do about what NEEDS to be done. Radio is not enjoyable as it is now. This is why MOST of us on this board hope that Earth 103.3 succeeds, they are trying and we are trying to put out constructive criticism. We all want it to succeed because it is not the corporate driven model that for so long has failed and sold listeners short.

Well,...white smoke must've been coming outta the Tower House...either a mystery engineer or the Pope himself has tweaked the processing for EARTH. Scanning the dail late last night, hear in Easley, I got a great signal, and does it ever have a "Natural" sound. Though a bit mifdt-ed-ed, I am greatful. I didn't listen long, before I fell asleep, but I didn't hear any bad selections. Not really that Deep, but quite Wide. Nope, didn't hear anything after I fell asleep...probably some good stuff. I had'ta drift off into Jennifer Lawrence, and myself, starring in a new film, The Scooter Games.

It bears repeating...a wonderful sound! Clean Processing....EARGAZUM! I load the Ear Buds every night.

No earrings, so I don't qualify as a Gypsy, but I'll pear inta this upside down Dukes manaze jar, and render the following: Rearding both Ratings & Revenue...the station's income & outgo, it is anyone's guess outside the fold. I do believe that there was a great deal of planning, before the venture was launched, but their apparent eagerness did concern me, in the beginning. As we all know, this Nation's Economy
Sucks...the life outta everything. People are afraid to spend for goods & services...freely, as they did. If you normally drop a couple-a hundred every Spring to have the house Stanley Steamed, your defalt is a $4.75 tallboy carpet fresh, and a Saturday Night Fever-Saturday Afternoon-Disco Dance, with a lengthy Hooooooovering! The expendable is just not there. Gas is $3.25, still over $3 a gallon for months, without an end in sight. Duke Power wants a 16% hike, and more undetermined is out there. EARTH is taking a risk. However, it was once said: Sometimes the biggest risk...is not taking one!

Yeah I just wonder how things will pan out in the books. I'm curious to know but I know it'll be a while before all that comes in.

Points well taken,Scooter however, I made a remark about an awards show some people put on, just an opinion, and I got the well you put up $$$$$$$ and we will talk about, so from the side line, its truly hard to judge, listening however i think they sound great and a much needed gap that was in dire need in the upstate, now to just get out another county or two,,

Ssummers,...good to here from you. I feared that you'd been malled, and chewed-up by Rabid Consultant Zombies. I Agee! A major Cooooo
by hiring our mutual friend, Gary Jackson. I had just mentioned him, and John Crenshaw, in an earlier post. I realize that most of it is VT, but as Ric Flair sez..."Now,...We Go To School!!!!". To all ye Corp Suits,...Fear True Air Talent,...because...We Are Still Here!

is there a waiting list to get into 103.3 do they take medicare and medicaid?
LOL.

103.3 needs better imaging really badly, needs more production/creativity. Sounds cheap IMO.

I tune in occasionally, but a lot of the older stuff from the early-mid 60s makes me tune out.

Boot Scooter , thought word surfaced that they were gonna serve uo that Vim Herb locally , something new , INO dos tres de Lovecde Hudson Buenas Dias may bien

I think another thing they're spending too much time on is getting that website up and going. These days thats part of the branding, your website and it has to be good. I surely hope they can get it up soon. I think things are going good but like others said, they need more branding out there and image. Hope this all keeps rolling.
