Wait Dan,
Did you not take the place of Boortz on the radio? Only to be bumped of by a mindless Fox Blond?
I need a drink.

I'll be the first to admit that when I first started I was hardly more than someone with a younger voice trying to do his best Mark Larsen impression. I even found myself using some of his little lines and catchphrases, which I had to quickly force myself to stop doing (Mark once came in the studio and threatened to smack me..). It was easy to do when I sat and listened to him 3 hours every single day...
But if I'm honest with myself I'd say after the first 4 months on the air I stopped trying to imitate others and actually just opened the paper and started talking about what I saw going on in Tampa. Now, since I've been listening to my airchecks the past few weeks even I admit I was FAR from the host I wanted to be, but to sit here and classify me as "Larsen lite" I think is just not factual.

Dan,
I don't know that I would agree with your critics that you were a "Larsen-Lite" or even a diamond in the rough; I thought your show, though not perfect (what show is?!?) was a refreshing change from the same old talk radio that can be heard in any city across the country, across the dial.
I grew tired of Dark Larsen (as the late Bob Lassiter called him!) about 5 or 6 years ago.
I actually had great hopes for
WWBA 820 right after the frequency change; the newscasts were good and even though you and Daniel Ruth appear to be 180 degrees apart politically; I enjoyed both of your shows......... but alas, there is no longer any reason for me to listen to WWBA any longer.
All the best to you; goood luck and Godspeed!
